Appointments, Promotions, Resignations, Retirements, and
Transfers of Territorial Force Officers.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to
approve of the appointments, promotions, resigna-
tions, retirements, and transfers of the undermentioned
Territorial Force Officers :-
3rd (Auckland) Mounted Rifles.
Major James Gladwin Wynyard, from the Reserve of
Officers, to be Major. Dated 25th March, 1912.
The undermentioned officers resign their commissions :-
Captain Ernest Adam Vipond. Dated 2nd March, 1912.
2nd Lieutenant Gordon Keir Hamilton. Dated 29th
December, 1911.
Supernumerary 2nd Lieutenant Bertram Lush is absorbed
into the establishment, vice Hamilton, resigned.
New Zealand Field Artillery.
2nd Lieutenant Gilbert Edward Archey, from the Un-
attached List (b) to be 2nd Lieutenant.
New Zealand Garrison Artillery.
Lieutenant James Henderson Crawford to be Captain, to
complete establishment. Dated 11th March, 1912.
Lieutenant Cyprian Bridge Brereton is transferred to the
12th (Nelson) Regiment. Dated 25th March, 1912.
2nd Lieutenant William Howard Johnson is absorbed into
the establishment, vice McKellar, transferred.
New Zealand Railway Corps.
2nd Lieutenant Augustine Stuart Henderson to be Lieu-
tenant. Dated 27th November, 1911.
2nd (South Canterbury) Regiment.
Douglas Playfair Fraser, Esq., to be 2nd Lieutenant.
Dated 25th March, 1912.
3rd (Auckland) Regiment (“Countess of Ranfurly’s
Own”).
Lieutenant Herbert Swainson Atkinson resigns his com-
mission. Dated 29th February, 1912.
5th Regiment (Wellington Rifles).
Lieutenant George Ernest Simeon is transferred to the
Unattached List (b) for service with the Senior Cadets.
Dated 25th March, 1912.
Lionel Lancelot Hitchings, Esq., to be 2nd Lieutenant,
supernumerary to the establishment. Dated 25th
March, 1912.
6th (Hauraki) Regiment.
2nd Lieutenant Stephen Shepherd Allen to be Lieutenant,
vice Merrielees, promoted. Dated 27th November, 1911.
The undermentioned to be 2nd Lieutenants, super-
numerary to the establishment. Dated 25th March,

Lieutenant Cyprian Bridge Brereton, from the New Zea-
land Garrison Artillery, to be Lieutenant under the
provisions of paragraph 125, General Regulations, 1911.
14th Regiment (South Otago Rifles).

attached List (b) for service with the Senior Cadets.

him thereto of twenty years three hundred and thirty days.
