Date of Election of Members of the Rotorua Fire Board.

PURSUANT to section 18 of the Fire Brigades Act, 1908, I, David Buddo, Minister of Internal Affairs, and the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act, do hereby appoint Tuesday, the 2nd day of April, 1912, to be the day for the holding of an election of three members of the Rotorua Fire Board by the contributing local authority.

And I do further appoint Tuesday, the 2nd day of April, 1912, to be the day for the holding of an election of three members of the said Rotorua Fire Board by the insurance companies which for the time being are carrying on business with the said Hastings Fire District.

Special Order made by the Council of the County of Waimairi.

THE following special order, made by the Waimairi County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL:
Special Order making Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and amendments thereto, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves by way of a special order as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest at the rate of 3½ per centum per annum, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £350, authorized to be raised by the Waimairi County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following purposes—namely, construction of a drain from the south side of the railway-line to Wilsons Creek, through Rural Sections 1765 and 430 within the said part of the said district, the Waimairi County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¾d. in the pound on the rateable value of all the rateable property in that part of the Waimairi County District, being Rural Sections 1796, 1788, and parts of Rural Sections 1765, 1527, 811, and 589, in Block III, Christchurch Survey District, commencing at a point being the south-west corner of Rural Sections 1765, 1527, 811, and 589, in Block III, Christchurch Survey District, commencing at a point being the south-west corner of Rural Section 1765; thence north-westerly along the south-west boundary of that section, a distance of 1780 links; thence south-westerly at right angles to the last-mentioned line, across Marshland Road, Rural Sections 1527, 811, and 589 to the boundary of Rural Section 419; thence north-westerly to the railway-line; thence north-easterly along the railway-line to the road forming the north-west boundary of Rural Section 1765; thence north-easterly and south-easterly along the north-west and north-east boundaries of Rural Sections 1765, 1788, 1796 to the south-east corner of the last-mentioned section; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of Rural Sections 1796, 1788, 1765 to the starting-point: and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of November and the first day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The foregoing special order was duly made at a special meeting of the Council held on the 11th day of December, 1911, and confirmed at a meeting held on the 22nd day of January, 1912.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Waimairi County was hereto affixed this 22nd day of January, 1912.

Resolutions made by the Moa Road Board.

THE following resolutions, made by the Moa Road Board, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

MOA ROAD BOARD.
Resolution making a Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, and the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, the Moa Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £150, authorized to be raised by consent of the ratepayers interested, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of replacing a culvert and constructing approaches on the Ratapiko Road, the said Moa Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/20 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Ratapiko Road No. 2 Special-rating District, comprising Sections 38, 39, 51 (in two subdivisions), 37 (in two subdivisions), 48, part 52, 29, 13, 21 (in two subdivisions), 22 (in two subdivisions), 23, 24 (in two subdivisions), 12, part 36, 44, part 46, 49, 30, 53, part 41, 40, 42, 57, 47, 45, part 46, part 50, 54, 60, part 55, 56, part 31, Block VI, Huiroa Survey District; Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 19, 20, Block VII, Huiroa Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
