declaring Waimana Gorge Road and Deviations in the
Whakatane County to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fifth
day of March, 1912.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, BART.,
PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him
by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other
powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excel-
lency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Execu-
tive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order
and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto
shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council,
become a county road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that road in the Auckland Land District, Whakatane
County, known as Waimana Gorge Road and Deviations,
commencing at the south-western corner of Section 342,
Waimana Parish, and proceeding in a southerly and
easterly direction generally along east side of the Waimana
River, fronting Sections 342, 322, Waimana Parish, Block
IX, Whakatane Survey District, and Sections 337, 358,
350, 333, 363, Waimana Parish, Blocks XIII and XIV,
Whakatane Survey District; thence through Section 307,
Waimana Parish, Block XIV, Whakatane Survey District;
thence through Subsections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 on the west and
Subsection 6 on the east of the said Section 307 ; thence
through Sections 7, 8, 9, 10, and 16, Waimana Parish,
Block III, Waimana Survey District; thence through Sec-
tion 11, and fronting Sections 219, 218, 224, 217 on the
north, and Sections 220, 221, and 222 on the south,
Block IV, Waimana Survey District, Waimana Parish, to
its junction with the Ohiwa-Waimana Road at the north-
eastern corner of the said Section 222 : as the said road
is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D.
31293, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public
Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial Dis-
trict, and thereon coloured red and lettered A B.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Globe
Hill No. 2 Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fifth
day of March, 1912.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, BART.,
PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred by the Public Reserves and Domains Act,
1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency
the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke a certain Order
in Council, dated the seventh day of November, one
thousand nine hundred and ten, appointing the Globe Hill
Domain Board, and doth hereby appoint

THE INANGAHUA COUNTY COUNCIL

to be the Globe Hill No. 2 Domain Board, having the
control of the domain described in the said Schedule
hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions
of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Thursday, the
twenty-eighth day of March, one thousand nine hundred
and twelve, at two o'clock p.m., as the time when, and
the Inangahua County Council Office, Reefton, as the place
where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.
GLOBE HILL No. 2 DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by
admeasurement 5 acres and 10 perches, more or less, and
being Section 2, Block II, Waitahu Survey District, com-
mencing at a point being 2664.9 links south and 5081.8
links east of Trigonometrical Station L in the said block,

thence bounded by lines as follows: 86° 10' 30", 778 links;
176° 8', 650 links; 266° 8', 780:3 links; and 356° 19',
650.2 links: be all the aforesaid bearings and linkages
more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan
marked L. 1339/27, deposited in the Head Office, Depart-
ment of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Association.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fifth
day of March, 1912.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, BART.,
PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section seven of the Land Settlement
Finance Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred to as “the
said Act”), it is provided that, as soon as practicable
after the complete execution of any agreement under the
said Act, application in the prescribed form shall be made
to the Governor, by or on behalf of the purchasers, for an
Order in Council confirming the agreement in pursuance of
the said Act: And whereas by sections eight and nine
of the said Act it is further provided that, upon receipt of
such application, the Minister of Finance shall refer the
same, together with the agreement, to the Board of Land
Purchase Commissioners for its report thereon, and
if the Board reports that the agreement is fit and
proper to be so confirmed the Governor may, if he
thinks fit, by Order in Council confirm the agree-
ment accordingly: And whereas under the provisions
of the said Act an agreement, bearing date the four-
teenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and
eleven, has been entered into between Charles Carr, John
Gordon Minty, John Graham Leitch, Frederick Herbert
Elder, Francis Cooper, James Gorrie, Alexander Wylie
McChlery, and Ludwig Claus Mehrtens and George John
Mehrtens (as tenants in common), and also Robert Kerr
and James Kerr (as tenants in common), purchasers, of the
one part, and Thomas Chute Ellis, vendor, of the other
part, for the purchase of the land therein described, and
the said purchasers therein agreed to become incorporated
as the Merrivale No. 1 Land Settlement Association: And
whereas application has been made in the prescribed form
for the issue of an Order in Council confirming the said
agreement: And whereas the said application, together
with the said agreement, was referred to the Board of
Land Purchase Commissioners for its report, and the
Board has reported that no roading is required in respect
of the said land, and that the said agreement is fit and
proper to be so confirmed:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred on him by the said Act, His
Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zea-
land, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
confirm the said agreement dated the fourteenth day of
October, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.
