Additional Land at Paekakariki taken for the Purposes of the Wellington and Manawatu Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Wellington and Manawatu Railway to take further land at Paekakariki, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.


SCHEDULE.

THE parcel of land mentioned hereunder :-

Defining the Middle-line of a Portion of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Gisborne Southwards).

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS a portion of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway from Gisborne southwards, for a distance of twenty-six miles (hereinafter termed “the said railway”), is a railway the construction of which is authorized by the Railways Authorization Act, 1910: And whereas it has been determined to construct and maintain the portion of the said railway described in the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section 188 of the Public Works Act, 1908, and in pursuance and exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the said portion of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at a point on the Gisborne-Rotorua Railway line at King’s Road Station, in Block XIV, Waimata Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction for a distance of about two miles and a half, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c.—viz., Section 33p of Makauri Block, Block XIV, Waimata Survey District; Section 34c of Makauri Block, Blocks I and XIV, Waimata Survey District; Section 37 of Makauri Block, Block I, Waimata Survey District, and Block I, Turanganui Survey District; Sub-section 1 of Section 29, Makauri Block, Block I, Turanganui Survey District; Sections 16 and 15, Pouparae Block, Block I, Turanganui Survey District, and Block I, Waimata Survey District; and Section 13, Pouparae Block, Block I, Turanganui Survey District, Pouparae, Hotua-Paka, Tutoko, and Oarihi Blocks, Block I, Turanganui Survey District, and terminating at a point on the left bank of the Waipaoa River: including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Land District
