point. And further starting again at the road-angle opposite
to the south-west corner of Section 895, and proceeding
eastward along the south side of the road bounding the south
side of Sections 895, 896, and 897 to the north-west corner
of Reserve No. 120; thence southwards along the west side
of said reserve to its south-west corner, and thence eastwards
along its south boundary about 30 chains; thence generally
southwards along the western boundary of Run 18 to the
boundary of Run 117; thence along northern and western
boundary of Run 117 to the boundary of Run 43, thence
along the north-east boundary of Run 43 to a point 25 chains
from the south-east corner of Section 890, thence along the
south-eastern boundary of Sections 890 and 891 to the south
side of main South Road; thence along the south side of said
road to the road on the west side of Section 903, thence south-
wards along the west side of the latter road to a point opposite
to the south-west corner of Section 903, thence across the
road to the south-west corner of Section 903, thence along the
south and east boundaries of said section to the road reserve
along the left bank of River Manakaiawa, and thence along
the south side of said road reserve ascending the stream to a
point opposite to the southernmost corner of Section 3032
as the same shall be hereafter surveyed, and thence along its
eastern boundary to the starting-point.

Run No. 632, Gentle Annie Run.—All that parcel of land
in the Westland Land District, containing by estimation
4,950 acres of national endowment land, situate in Kanieri
Survey District, and bounded as follows: Starting at the
northernmost corner of Miscellaneous Lease 1008, and pro-
ceeding thence in prolongation of north-western boundary
of said lease, a distance of about 85 chains, to the left bank
of Kanieri River; and thence proceeding up stream along
said left bank, a distance of about 80 chains, to Kanieri
Lake Road; and thence proceeding by the south-western
side of said road, a distance of about 80 chains generally
south-easterly, to the western boundary of Scenic Reserve
1177; thence in a general southerly direction by the western
boundary of said reserve as described in Gazette, 1911, page 259
—namely, by a line over Gentle Annie Trig., and thence
prolonged about 120 chains to a point in line with the
northern side of White Road produced, and there turning
generally N.N.W. along such produced line to the south-east
corner of Section 837; and thence in a general north-west
direction along the eastern side of said section and a public
road bounding its eastern side; and again by Raft Creek
along the boundary of said section and Section 1422, and by
the eastern side of Section 1451 up to its north-east corner;
thence across a public road; thence by the northern boundary
of said road to the south-east corner of Section 2037; thence
by the eastern and north-eastern boundaries of said section
to the south-east corner of aforesaid Lease No. 1008, and
thence by the eastern and northern sides of said lease to its
northernmost corner, the starting-point: saving and except-
ing always all mining and other rights and privileges upon,
adjacent to, or affected by the said area.

Run 634, Upper Arawata River.—All that piece of Crown
land, containing about 46,650 acres, situated in Westland
Land District, and within the Survey Districts of Mount
Aspiring, Macfarlane, and Jackson, being generally the upper
basins of the Arawata and Waipara Rivers, and bounded
as follows : Starting at a point on the right bank of the Wai-
para River where the boundary-line between the Land Dis-
tricts of Westland and Otago crosses the said river, and
proceeding in a direction generally west by north along the
said land-district boundary for a distance in all of about
590 chains, crossing the Arawata River directly and proceed-
ing up to and intersecting the upper edge of the bush-line at
a point about 30 chains distant from the left bank of the
river, and from said point proceeding in a direction generally
north-east along the upper edge of the bush-line flanking the
eastern side of Olivine Range, a distance of about 1,400
chains, to the eastern boundary of Run No. 66; thence
generally south-east along the boundary of said run down
McIntosh Creek to its confluence with the Arawata River,
and thence by the left bank of said river to the south-eastern
boundary of Runs 25 and 448 conjoined, and thence by said
run-boundary easterly to the upper edge of the bush-line
generally along the western flank of the range that bounds the
eastern side of Waipara River up to “The Cook” Creek,
thence down the said creek to the right bank of the Waipara
River, thence upwards along said right bank to the starting-
point: saving and excepting all mining and other rights and
privileges.

Authorizing the Laying-off of Connolly Street, Taylor
Street, and George Street, in the Town of Raukapuka
Extension No. 2, of a Width of not less than 66 ft.

authorize the laying-off of Connolly Street, Taylor Street,
and George Street, in the Town of Raukapuka Extension
No. 2, Canterbury Land District, of a width of not less
than 66 ft. instead of 99 ft.

Defining Port Underwood River and Extended-river
Limits.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
conferred upon me by section 189 of the Shipping
and Seamen Act, 1908, I, John Andrew Millar, Minister
of Marine, do hereby define the Port Underwood limits
within which restricted-limit steamships and ships pro-
pelled by gas, oil, fluid, electricity, or any mechanical
power other than steam, and to which restricted-limits
certificates are issued, may ply to be those set forth
herein, and I do divide such limits into river and extended-
river limits.

River Limits: Inside a straight line drawn from Robert-
son Point to the southernmost point of Ocean Bay.

Extended-river Limits: Between Port Underwood and
Blenheim.

As witness my hand, at Wellington, this 19th day of
December, 1911.
