the present State-forest boundary, towards the east by a line due south to the southern boundary-line of Block XIX aforesaid, towards the south by a line due west to the south-eastern boundary of Area 490 aforesaid, again towards the east by a line due south to the northern boundary of Sawmill Area 201, and again towards the south by the last-mentioned area and by Areas 201B and 201A to the commencing-point; excepting from the above-described area Section 7, Block XIX aforesaid; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1911/975D, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing approximately 1,000 acres, situated in Block V, Aparima Hundred, commencing at the north-western corner of Sawmill Area 440C. Bounded towards the west by a line due north to the present State-forest boundary, towards the north-east by that boundary to the southern boundary of Block V aforesaid, and towards the south by the last-mentioned boundary to the commencing-point; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1911/975E, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 76 acres, more or less, being Section 122, Block I, Waiau Survey District; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1911/975F, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing approximately 3,600 acres, situated in Block IX, Campbelltown Hundred, commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section 60, Block VIII, in the said district. Bounded towards the north by the northern boundary of Campbelltown Hundred, towards the south-east and east by the south-eastern and eastern boundaries of said hundred, towards the south by the northern boundary of Block X in the said hundred to the edge of the bush, towards the west and south generally by the edge of the bush to the western boundary of said Block IX, and again towards the west by said western boundary of Block IX to the commencing-point; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1911/975G, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 162 acres 1 rood 14 perches, more or less, being Section 360, Block XVI, Forest Hill Hundred; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1911/975H, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 368 of the Native Land Act, 1909.

(L.S.) ISLINGTON, Governor.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section three hundred and sixty-eight of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided, inter alia, that the Crown may purchase any Native land in pursuance of a resolution of the assembled owners passed and confirmed in accordance with Part XVIII of the said Act, and on the resolution being adopted by the Native Land Purchase Board it shall become a contract of purchase as between the Crown and all persons who are the owners of the land; and the Governor may by Proclamation, at any time after the contract of purchase has been so made, declare that the land so purchased is vested in His Majesty the King, and it shall vest accordingly and shall become Crown land:

And whereas a resolution was passed by a meeting of assembled owners, and duly confirmed by the Waiariki District Maori Land Board, that the land set out in the Schedule hereto be sold to the Crown:

And whereas the Native Land Purchase Board duly considered and adopted the resolution:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section three hundred and sixty-eight of the said Act, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land, situate in the Otukotara, Heruiwi, Maruanui, and Runanga Survey Districts, in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing 8,330 acres, more or less, and being the land known as Runanga 1B Block.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Additional Land at Pareora taken for the Purposes of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway to take further land at Pareora, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

The parcel of land mentioned hereunder:—
