A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by the fifth section of the Land Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke a Proclamation dated the twenty-first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and ten, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-fourth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and ten, setting apart lands for Rangitoto No. 1 Improved-farm Special Settlement, in so far as it relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Resuming Land for a Site for a Public School in the Otago Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and forty-four of the Land Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor in Council may by Proclamation resume possession of any land leased under Part III of the said Act, or under any corresponding Part of the Land Act, 1892, which in his opinion is required for any public purpose:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land which is held under renewable lease from His Majesty the King under Part III of the Land Act, 1908, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, dated the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and nine:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required for a public purpose—that is to say, for a site for a public school:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby proclaim and declare that I hereby resume possession of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto for the public purpose hereinbefore mentioned, the same being part of the land held under renewable lease as aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 1 rood 31 perches, more or less, being parts of Allotment 17a, Kauroo Hill Settlement, Block II, Kauroo Survey District. Commencing at the junction of French's Road with Slaughter Creek Road, and bounded thence towards the north-west by the first-named road, 4443 links; thence towards the north-east by a line bearing 134° 33', 1044 links; thence towards the south by a line bearing 261° 55', 999·9 links, to Slaughter Creek Road; thence towards the north-west by the said
