Description of Portion of Reserve changed.
All that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 0·66 perches, more or less, situated in the Borough of Invercargill, being portion of the Invercargill Public Offices Site, as described in the First Schedule of the Invercargill Public Offices Site Act, 1875. Bounded towards the north by other part of said site, 15·2 links; towards the east by Dee Street, 27·3 links; towards the south by the Invercargill Athenæum Reserve, as described in the Fourth Schedule of the above-quoted Act, 15·2 links; and towards the west by other part of said Invercargill Public Offices Site, 27·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5506/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Exchanging Portion of a Reserve in the Town of Cobden, Westland Land District, for other Lands.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
WHEREAS the provisions and requirements of the seventh section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, have been duly complied with in respect of the lands described in the Schedule hereto: And whereas notices in the Gazette have been duly published for four consecutive weeks, and laid before both Houses of Parliament, as provided by the said section of the said Act: And whereas no resolution of either House of Parliament has been passed that such House does not concur in the intention declared in any such notice:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Act aforesaid, do hereby exchange the portion of the reserve described in the First Schedule hereto for the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE OF PORTION OF RESERVE EXCHANGED.
ALL that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 24 perches, more or less, being Sections 31, 33, 34, 35, 174, 175, and 176, Town of Cobden, being part of Reserve 1287. Bounded towards the north-west by Sturge Street, 200 links; towards the north-east by Sections 178 and 177, 200 links; again towards the north-west by Section 177, 200 links; again towards the north-east by Fox Street, 300 links; towards the south-east by Newcastle Street, 400 links; towards the south-west by Bright Street, 100 links; again towards the north-west, south-west, and south-east by Library Reserve No. 1288 (Section 32), 200 links, 100 links, and 200 links respectively; and again towards the south-west by Bright Street, 300 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5530/3c, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Reserved for a site for public buildings or other purposes of the General Government in New Zealand Gazette No. 3, of the 20th January, 1869.

SECOND SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LANDS OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.
ALL that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 32 perches, more or less, being Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10, Town Block I, Town of Cobden. Bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by Sections 1, 2, and 3 of Town Block I, 223·3 links; towards the south-east by Pitt Street, 651·63 links; towards the south-west by Residence Area 6 and a municipal reserve, 250·05 links; towards the north-west by a municipal reserve, 575·85 links; again towards the north-east by Residence Area 7, 35·28 links; and again towards the north-west by said Residence Area 7, 184·13 links.
Also all that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 18 perches, more or less, being Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 of Town Block II, Town of Cobden. Bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by Bright Street, 644·4 links; towards the south-east by Residence Area 1, 200 links; towards the south-west and again towards the south-east by Residence Area 26, 300 links and 206·6 links respectively; again towards the south-west by Residence Area 3, 102·3 links; and towards the north-west by a right-of-way, 493·07 links and 39·1 links.
Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same are delineated on the plan marked L. 5530/3b, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Dedicated as a site for a library in New Zealand Gazette No. 47, of the 9th September, 1886.
