Recreation Reserve in Wellington Land District brought under Part II of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of December, 1911.

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-sixth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as Kakahi Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

SCHEDULE.

KAKAHI DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 20 acres 3 roods 22 perches, more or less, being Section 12, Block VI, Hunua Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west and north-east generally by a road and river-bank reserve, and by a public road; towards the south by Section 29, Block VI, Hunua Survey District, 642·15 links; towards the south-west by Crown land, 1733·4 links, bearing 286° 22′ 43″; and towards the west by Section 1, Block VI aforesaid: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1484, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Regulation under the Public Service Classification and Superannuation Amendment Act, 1908.—Teachers’ Superannuation.

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Part I of the Public Service Classification and Superannuation Amendment Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting under the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Dominion, doth hereby amend the regulation made by Order in Council dated the twenty-ninth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and nine, in manner set forth in the Schedule hereto; and with the like advice and consent doth prescribe that this Order shall come into force on the date of the first publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

SCHEDULE.

CLAUSE (b): After the words “at the rate of,” “5” is substituted for “4.”

Clause inserted:—

(c.) All other arrears due by contributors for any other reason than as set forth in clauses (a) and (b) of the regulation referred to above also to bear interest at the rate of 5 per cent. per annum.

Setting apart Land under the Workers’ Dwellings Act, 1910.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of December, 1911.

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by section three of the Workers’ Dwellings Act, 1910, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of the Workers’ Dwellings Act, 1910.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 8 acres 2 roods 15 perches, more or less, being Section 15 and parts of Sections 13 and 14, Block XVI, Cloudy Bay Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by parts of Sections 13 and 14, Block XVI, Cloudy Bay Survey District, 289 links, 610·1 links, 554·7 links, 159 links, and 305·8 links; towards the south by a public road, 1106·6 links; and towards the west by a public road, 1533·5 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Also all that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 18 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Section 10B, Block XVI, Cloudy Bay Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Sections 10A and 11, Block XVI, Cloudy Bay Survey District, 493·5 links, 1025·4 links, and 488·8 links; towards the south-east by a public road and Section 12, Block XVI, 134·8 links, 465·1 links, 265·4 links, 302 links, 300 links, 246·2 links, and 245·6 links; towards the south-west by Section 12, Block XVI, Cloudy Bay Survey District, 945·9 links; and towards the west by the old course of the Opawa River to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

The Public Service Classification and Superannuation Act, 1908.—Extension of Time for the Employment of a Temporary Officer in the Native Department.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of December, 1911.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, BART.,
PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by subsection two of section sixteen of the Public Service Classification and Superannuation Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is provided that the Governor may by Order in Council, in any case in which he considers that the public interest so requires, authorize the temporary employment of any person or any class of persons for a longer period than is permitted by subsection one of section sixteen of the said Act:

And whereas in the opinion of the Governor it is expedient that the temporary employment of Henry Matthew Stowell, Licensed Native Interpreter, Wellington, of the Native Department, be extended from thirty-six months to forty-eight months and three days:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the temporary employment of the said Henry Matthew Stowell for a further period of twelve months and three days from the twenty-ninth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.
