and levies a special rate of 4d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation (on the basis of the annual rent value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Thames (comprising all lands within the boundaries thereof gazetted on page 207 of the New Zealand Gazette, 1884); and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
We certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Thames Borough Council held on the 26th day of January, 1911.

THE following resolution, made by the Westport Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments.

RESOLUTION MADE BY THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF WESTPORT.
Westport Borough Council.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, and of every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Westport Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of £300, authorized to be raised by the Westport Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the payment of such Council’s contribution towards the cost of the erection of the Orowaiti Bridge, in compliance with a Warrant dated the 30th September, 1909, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor in terms of section 119 of the Public Works Act, 1908, the said Westport Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 7/500 of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property within the Borough of Westport; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE following resolution, made by the Eltham Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

ELTHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Proposed Special Loan of £3,500.
Resolution making special rate for repayment of loan, under section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Eltham Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,500, authorized to be raised by the Eltham Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purposes of—
(1.) General street improvements within the Borough (including acquiring land for and forming and metalling a new street from Bridge Street, through Original Section No. 75, Eltham Village, to West Street-Collingwood Street junction, and also a new street from northern end of Stanners Street to Collingwood Street) ... £2,570
(2.) General water and drainage extensions ... 930

the said Eltham Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5/32 of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all the rateable property in the Borough of Eltham as appearing on the valuation roll; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off, and subject in all respects to the provisions relating to a special rate raised as security for a loan under the said Act. The interest to be paid on such loan is £3 10s. per centum per annum, with the addition of a sinking fund of £1 7s. 6d. per centum per annum, the whole loan to be raised under Part IV of the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, and to be repayable by seventy-three half-yearly payments of £2 8s. 9d. for every £100 of such loan. It is proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking fund thereon for the first year.

The foregoing resolution was duly proposed, seconded, and carried at a special meeting of the Eltham Borough Council held on the 27th day of January, 1911.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Eltham (including all persons entitled to vote on loan proposals) was taken on the 24th day of January, 1911, on the proposal of the Eltham Borough Council to borrow the sum of £3,500, under Part IV of the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, for the purposes of—
(1.)
