Laying out and setting apart a Road in Te Whanake Block, Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section three hundred and eighty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1909, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby lay out and set apart as a road the land described in the Schedule hereto, being customary land within the meaning of that Act.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington.

(Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of Streets at Gore.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto forms part of land acquired for the purposes of the Waimea Plains Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of streets:

And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the Borough of Gore, the local authority of which has assented to the issue of this Proclamation:

And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said streets:

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become streets, and that the said streets shall be under the control of the Gore Borough Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.


SCHEDULE.

ALL those several parcels of land in the Southland Land District, containing in the aggregate a total area of 2 acres 3 roods 31·6 perches, more or less, being portions of railway land on each side of the line of the Waimea Plains Branch Railway, extending from Medway Street to Surrey Street, in the Town of Gore; as the said parcels of land are more particularly shown coloured purple on plan


ERRATA.—On page 283 of the New Zealand Gazette, in Varied Notice fixing Closing-hours of Hairdressers’ and Tobacconists’ Shops in the Borough of Masterton, the date at foot of notice should read “25th day of January, 1911,” not “November, 1911.”

In the Proclamation taking land for the purposes of a road in Blocks IX and XV, Whernside Survey District, Awatere Road District, published in Gazette No. 107, page 4208, of 15th December, 1910, for “the twentieth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and ten,” read “the twentieth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.”
