Notifying the Proposed Exchange of Crown Land in the Southland Land District for other Land.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and forty-two of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land which in his opinion is of approximately equal value, and that all land acquired by the Crown by any such exchange shall become Crown land and be subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the first column of the Schedule hereto for the land described in the second column of the said Schedule, and the owner of the land described in the second column of the said Schedule has agreed to such exchange:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said section one hundred and forty-two, doth hereby declare that it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land described in the first column of the Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the second column of the said Schedule.

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, being Section No. 36, Town of Hodgkinson. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 42 in the said town, 734 links; towards the east by Section No. 35, 1363·7 links; towards the south by Bridport Street, 734 links; and towards the west by Section No. 37, 1363·7 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1697/9, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue. All that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 13 acres and 4 perches, more or less, being Section No. 34 and part of Section No. 35, Town of Hodgkinson. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 76 in the said town, 314·5 links; towards the north-east by Aparima Street, 1788·4 links; towards the south by Bridport Street, 1866·7 links; and towards the north-west and west by a street, 582·2 links and 938·6 links respectively: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1697/9, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this nineteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Land temporarily reserved as a Site for a Post-office in the Town of Shannon, Wellington Land District.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, as a site for a post-office.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 231, Town of Shannon. Bounded towards the north-west by Plimmer Terrace, 100 links; towards the north-east by Stout Street, 250 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 230, 100 links; and towards the south-west by Section No. 232, 250 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 52152/30, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this nineteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Land temporarily reserved as a Site for a Roadman’s Cottage, in Tarata Village, Taranaki Land District.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Taranaki Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, as a site for a roadman’s cottage.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 20 perches, more or less, being Section No. 35, Tarata Village. Bounded towards the north-west by Section 33, Tarata Village, 190·5 links; towards the north-east by Section 36, Tarata Village aforesaid, 284·6 links; towards the south-east by Junction Road, 209·4 links; and towards the south-west by Ngatimaru Terrace, 371·5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5429/3, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this nineteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 3 roods 16 perches, more or less, being Section 4A, Block II, Hukerenui Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east and east generally by a stream; towards the south by a public road 100 links wide, 629·4 and 230·5 links; and towards the south-west by Section 3, Block II, Hukerenui Survey District, 749
