The above allotment is situated in a good residential
position in the Town of Westport, and is in close proximity
to the wharves, railway-station, and business centre of the
town.

Village Land.

Situated about seven miles from Westport, and accessible
by the Cape Foulwind Railway; the land is open and flat,
and suitable for residential purposes.

Notifying Lands in Nelson Land District for Sale by Public
Auction.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section
of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder,
Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby appoint Tuesday, the seventh day of
November, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, as the
time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto
shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the
prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those men-
tioned in the said Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN OF PUPONGA PORT.

Town Land.

LOCALITY AND DESCRIPTION.

Puponga Port is situated about fourteen miles from
Collingwood by road, which is formed for part of the way
only; the greater portion is along sea-beach. A wharf
has been constructed by the Puponga Coal Company, and
there is now direct steamer communication with Wanganui,
Wellington, and Nelson. On Sections Nos. 2 to 28 the
soil is of a sandy nature, suitable for light cultivation.
The remaining sections comprise clay soil overlying con-
glomerate rock. Fresh water is readily obtained by sink-
ing. The climate is fresh and bracing, and the rainfall
abundant. The land is covered more or less with light
manuka scrub.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this nineteenth day of October, one thousand
nine hundred and eleven.

Opening Land in Auckland Land District for Selection on
Renewable Lease.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, John
Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that
the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for
selection on renewable lease on Monday, the eighteenth day
of December, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, at the
rental mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also
declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject
to the provisions of the said Act.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—GREAT BARRIER ISLAND.—
AOTEA PARISH.

Third-class Land.

Weighted with £27, for 6 acres of grassing and 30 chains of
fencing.

Altitude, 400 ft. to 600 ft. above sea-level. Broken land,
covered with tall manuka. Clay soil, of inferior quality;
indifferently watered. Situated ten miles from Whangapara-
para and seven miles from Whangapoua, by bridle-track in
each case.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this eighteenth day of October, one thousand
nine hundred and eleven.
