CERTIFICATE OF CONFIRMATION.
In pursuance of the By-laws Act, 1910, I hereby confirm the above-written by-law, and declare that the same came into force on the 1st day of July, 1911.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration in Boundaries of Borough of Green Island.

Wellington, 17th October, 1911.
PURSUANT to section 118 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor directs it to be notified that a petition, in accordance with regulations, signed by not less than one-fourth of the electors of the area described in the Schedule hereto, has been presented to him, praying that the said area may be included in the Borough of Green Island. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE BOROUGH OF GREEN ISLAND.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 60, Block VII, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, from Abbott’s Creek to the main South Road; thence towards the north-east by the main South Road to the present western boundary of the Borough of Green Island; thence towards the east generally by the present boundary of that borough to the crossing of Brighton Road by the Walton Park Railway; thence towards the south-west by the Walton Park Railway to Abbott’s Creek; and thence towards the west by Abbott’s Creek to the place of commencement.

THE following special order, made by the Whangarei County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1908.

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order altering Boundaries and Representation of Ridings of the Whangarei County.
SPECIAL ORDER of the body corporate known as and called the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Whangarei, passed at an adjourned special meeting thereof held on the 9th day of March, 1911, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting thereof held on the 24th day of April, 1911, and to come into effect on date of gazetting same:—

That the number of ridings within the County of Whangarei remain as at present.

That the representation of the respective ridings of the said county remain as at present, with the exception of the Maunu Riding, which shall be represented by two Councillors instead of one.

That the boundaries of the Hikurangi, Wairua, and Maunu Ridings be altered, and be as shown on the map of the County of Whangarei prepared for the purpose and marked “A” deposited in the office of the Council at Whangarei.

That the boundaries of the Kiripaka, Manaia, Mangapai, Waipu, and Otonga Ridings remain the same as at present constituted.

That the Hikurangi Riding be altered to consist of the Road Districts of Hikurangi, Kaurihohore, and the outlying district of Hikurangi, included within the boundaries hereinafter mentioned, henceforth to be called the Hikurangi Outlying District. Bounded commencing at the intersection by the Great North Road of the boundary-line between the Bay of Islands County and the Whangarei County; thence westerly by the southern boundary of the Bay of Islands County to its intersection with the eastern boundary of Block XVI, Motatau Survey District; thence southerly by the said eastern boundary of said last-mentioned block to the south-western corner of Section 17, Block XIII, Hukerenui Survey District; thence generally easterly by the southern boundaries of Sections 17, 16, and 15 of said Block XIII to the north-east corner of Section 14 of said Block XIII; thence southerly by the eastern boundary of said Section 14 to the south-western corner of Section 22, Block XIII aforesaid; thence north-easterly by the south-eastern boundary of said Section 22 to the north-east corner of Section 14, Parish of Otakairangi; thence southerly by the eastern boundary of said Section 14 and by part of eastern boundary of Section 13 of said parish to the south-western corner of Section 16 of said parish; thence easterly by the northern boundary-lines of Sections 18 and 19 of said parish; thence southerly by the eastern boundary of Section 19 of said parish to the south-western corner of Section 20 of said parish; thence westerly by the southern boundary of said Section 20 to a public road; thence generally easterly along a public road through Crown lands to the north-west corner of Section 12, Block XV, Hukerenui Survey District; thence southerly generally by the present boundary between the Hikurangi and Wairua Ridings to the south-west corner of Section 1, Blocks IV and V, Purua Survey District; thence southerly generally by part of the southern boundary of said Section 1 and by the western boundary of Section 18, Blocks IV and VII, Purua Survey District, and by the western boundaries of the Maketawa and Tumahia Blocks to a stream; thence generally south-easterly by the said stream to its intersection with a public road; thence generally easterly through the Ngawhakatikitu Block to a public road; thence easterly by the said road to the western boundary of the Kamo Town District; thence generally northerly and easterly by the boundary of the Kamo Town District to the boundary between the Kamo Town District and Kaurihohore Road District; thence south-easterly and northerly by the present boundary-line between the Hikurangi Riding and Kiripaka and Otonga Ridings to the commencing-point.

That the Maunu Riding be altered to consist of the outlying district of Maunu, included within the boundaries hereinafter mentioned, henceforth to be called the Maunu Outlying District. Bounded commencing at the Tokitoki River, Whangarei Harbour, in a westerly direction by the northern and western boundary of the Maungakaramea Road District to the north-eastern corner of Section 1, Block 2, Tangihua Survey District, on the Waiotama River; thence following the said river to its junction with the Wairoa River, and by the Wairoa River northerly to the south-eastern corner of Section 8, Block XV, Mangakahia Survey District; thence by the southern boundary of Sections 8, 9, and 10 of Block XV aforesaid; thence northerly by the western boundary of said Section 10 to its intersection with the road; thence along the western side of the road to a line between Sections 13 and 14, Block XI, Mangakahia Survey District, and along the said line to the junction with a stream dividing Sections 13 and 28, Block XI aforesaid; thence by the northern boundary of said Section 13; thence by the western boundary of said Section 28 of said Block XI; thence by the southern and western boundaries of Section 4, Block X, Mangakahia Survey District; thence along the northern side of the road to the boundary between Sections 2 and 3, Block X aforesaid, along the western boundary of said Section 3 to the Mangakahia River; thence by the Mangakahia River to the northern boundary of the Hobson County; thence by the Hobson and Bay of Islands Counties; thence on the north-east generally by the Wairua Riding to the south-western corner of Section 19 (education reserve), Parish of Kaitara; thence generally south-easterly by the north-eastern boundary-lines of Sections 20, 22, and 23, Parish of Kaitara, to the north-east corner of said Section 23; thence by a straight line to the north-west corner of Section 36, said Parish of Kaitara; thence by the northern boundary of said Section 36 to its north-east corner; thence easterly by a straight line to the south-east corner of the Pukemiro Block; thence generally easterly by the present boundary of the Wairua Riding to the boundary of the Whangarei Borough; thence generally by the western and southern boundary of the Whangarei Borough to the Whangarei River; and thence by the Whangarei River and Harbour to the commencing-point.

That the Wairua Riding be altered to consist of the Kamo Town District and the outlying district of Wairua, included within the boundaries hereinafter mentioned, henceforth to be called the Wairua Outlying District. Bounded, commencing at the intersection by the Hikurangi River of the boundary-line between the Bay of Islands County and the Whangarei County, on the west generally by the Maunu Riding as hereinbefore defined to the Kamo Town District boundary; thence southerly,
