PATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

THE MOTOR REGULATION ACT, 1908.

THE Council of the County of Patea hereby gives public notice that at a meeting of the Council held on Monday, 11th September, 1911, the said Council resolved that the above Act should be brought into operation within the said county on 1st November, 1911.

THE YORK BAY LAND COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 230 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at the registered office of the company, 27 Panama Street, Wellington, on Thursday, the 26th day of October, 1911, at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator; and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator shall be disposed of.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately subsisting between us, the undersigned JONATHAN MEARS CURRIN and MANSON BARRACLOUGH, carrying on business as Butchers at Hawera, under the style of “Currin and BarracloUGH,” has this day been dissolved by mutual consent. All debts due to or owing by the late firm will be received and paid by the said MANSON BARRACLOUGH, who will continue the said business alone.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between JOSEPH STUDHAM WORTHINGTON and DOUGLAS AUGUSTUS ALLWOOD, carrying on business as Coal and Firewood Dealers and General Carriers, at Whangarei, under the style or firm of “J. S. Worthington and Co.” has been dissolved as from the 31st day of October, 1910.

All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by the said JOSEPH STUDHAM WORTHINGTON, who will continue to carry on the said business in his own name.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of the Sounds Co-operative Dairy Company (Limited).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company duly convened and held at the registered office of the company, Whatanhi, Pelorus Sound, on Thursday, the 11th day of May, 1911, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed :—

“It having been proved to the satisfaction of the company that it cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the company, the company shall be and is hereby wound up voluntarily.”

And at the said meeting GEORGE FINN, of Wellington, company manager, was appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between WILLIAM EDWARD BENNETT and ERNEST ARTHUR URWIN, of Waipukurau, Printers, Publishers, and Newspaper Proprietors, carrying on business at Waipukurau as Printers, Publishers, and Newspaper Proprietors, under the style of firm of “Bennett and Urwin,” has been dissolved as from the date hereof. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by the said ERNEST ARTHUR URWIN, who will continue to carry on the said business.

In the matter of the Whangarei Rifle Volunteer Club.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a special general meeting of the club, called by advertisement as per rules of same, held on the 1st day of September, 1911, it was decided by resolution “That the club be wound up voluntarily”; and that at a further meeting held on the 6th October, 1911, the above resolution was duly confirmed, and it was further resolved “That Captain F. PEARCE and Hr. WM. BRIGGS, Accountant, be and are hereby appointed Liquidators.”

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 33s. per annum, including postage, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.

Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged 23s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 3 o'clock of the day preceding publication.

Communications should be addressed to the Government Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders should be made payable. Cheques should be crossed “Public a/c,” and exchange added.

Postage or duty stamps cannot be received in payment from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders are issued.

Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to prevent delay in publication, a sufficient remittance should accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be returned with receipted account.
