A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration district known as the Grey District, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said district is hereby divided anew into two registration districts, the names and boundaries whereof shall be as follows:—
RUNANGA DISTRICT.
All that area bounded towards the north generally by the watershed between the Porarari River and Omonelu Creek from the sea to the summit of the Paparoa Range; thence towards the east generally by the summit of the Paparoa Range to Sewell’s Peak; thence by a right line to the source of Langdon’s Creek, and by that creek to the Borough of Brunner; thence towards the south by the Borough of Brunner to its north-western corner; thence by a right line to Trig. Station A B, Cobden Survey District; thence by the road running westerly to and along the northern boundary of Section No. 123, Block V, Cobden Survey District, to the Greymouth—Point Elizabeth Railway line; thence across the railway and road to the north-eastern corner of Section No. 186, Block IV, Cobden Survey District; thence by that section, across a road, and by Section No. 185, Block IV aforesaid, to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by a right line to the easternmost corner of Section No. 232, Block II, Cobden Survey District; thence by that section and its northern boundary produced to the sea; and thence towards the west generally by the sea to the place of commencement.
GREY DISTRICT.
All that area bounded towards the north generally by a right line from a point on the sea-shore in line with the northern boundary of Section No. 232, Block II, Cobden Survey District, to the north-western corner of that section; thence by the northern boundary of that section to its easternmost corner; thence by a right line to the north-western corner of Section No. 185, Block IV, Cobden Survey District; thence by the northern boundary of that section, across a road, and by the northern boundary of Section No. 186, said Block IV, to the north-eastern corner of that section; thence across a road and railway to the road at the north-western corner of Section No. 123, Block V, Cobden Survey District; thence by the road forming the northern boundary of that section and its production easterly to Trig. Station A B; thence by a right line to the north-western corner of the Borough of Brunner; thence towards the east and again towards the north by the Borough of Brunner to the Arnold River; thence towards the north-east by the Arnold River to Lake Brunner; thence again towards the south generally by that lake to Dobson’s Road; thence by the southern watershed of New River and its tributaries, and by the summit of the range leading to Blackwater Creek about half a mile north of the confluence of Armstrong’s Creek with the said Blackwater Creek; thence by a line due west to Marsden Road; thence by that road to Greenstone Road; thence by the latter road to the Teremakau River, and by the southern bank of that river to the sea; and thence towards the west by the sea to the place of commencement.
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the ninth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twelfth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

ERRATA.—In the fifth line of the Schedule to the Warrant temporarily reserving Section 218, Town of Inglewood, published on page 2604 of New Zealand Gazette No. 68, of the 24th August, 1911, for “336 links,” read “444·5 links.”
In the Schedule to the Proclamation taking land for a further portion of the North Auckland Railway and for a road-diversion in connection therewith, dated the eighteenth day of September, 1911, and published in Gazette No. 74, of 21st of the same month, page 2807, the area mentioned last but two—namely, “2a. 0r. 28p.,” should read “21a. 0r. 28p.”
