DECLARATION OF POLL ON PROPOSAL TO ADOPT SYSTEM OF RATING ON UNIMPROVED VALUE.
PURSUANT to section 39 of the Rating Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the County of Featherston taken on the 15th day of September, 1911, on the proposal that the system of rating in the said county be on the unimproved value, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 173; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 181; informal votes, 5.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

WESTLAND COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Westland County Council, on behalf of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Westland County, propose to take, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of a public road.
And further notice is hereby given that a survey has been made and a plan has been prepared showing the land required to be taken, together with the names of the owners and occupiers of such land, so far as they can be ascertained; and a copy of such plan is deposited at the County Clerk’s office, situate in Fitzherbert Street, Hokitika, and is open for inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours—namely, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to such work or to the taking of the said land, and to send such writing, within 40 (forty) days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk, at the office of the said Council, situate as aforesaid.
Schedule.
All that parcel of land situate in Block VIII, Survey District of Waimea, Westland, having an approximate area of 2 acres 2 roods 15·6 perches, being part Subdivision 1A, Arahura Native Reserve, numbered 30, coloured pink on plan marked 1559; as the same is more particularly delineated on the said plan marked and coloured as aforesaid.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of the Waitui Co-operative Dairy Company (Limited), a company incorporated under the said Act, and having its registered office situated in Inglewood.
NOTICE is hereby given that, on the 9th day of September, 1911, at an extraordinary general meeting held at its registered office in Inglewood, the Waitui Co-operative Dairy Company (Limited) confirmed as a special resolution the following resolution requiring the said company to be wound up voluntarily:—
“That, having regard to the agreement of the 15th day of May, 1911, made between this company and the Moa Farmers’ Co-operative Dairy Company (Limited) for the sale and transfer of this company’s land and premises, and part of its plant and machinery, to the Moa Farmers’ Co-operative Dairy Company (Limited), it is desirable to wind up this company, and that accordingly this company—namely, the Waitui Co-operative Dairy Company (Limited)—be wound up voluntarily; and that, WILLIAM EDWARD PERCIVAL be and he is hereby appointed the Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up and for the purpose of distributing the assets of this company, at a remuneration of £15.”

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
THE Partnership hitherto existing between the undersigned, WILLIAM HUGHES FIELD, MARTIN LUCKIE, and GEORGE TOOGOOD, under the style of “Field, Luckie, and Toogood,” Barristers and Solicitors, Wellington, has this day been dissolved by mutual consent.
Messrs. FIELD and LUCKIE will carry on the business of the late firm, and will receive all moneys owing to it and pay all debts and liabilities thereof.
Mr. Toogood retires from the said Partnership, and will recommence the practice of his profession in Wellington on the 1st day of March, 1912.
