NOTICE UNDER THE MUNICIPAL CORPORA-
TIONS ACT, 1908, AND THE PUBLIC WORKS
ACT, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Grey Lynn
Borough Council, on behalf of the Mayor, Coun-
cillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Grey Lynn, intend
to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act,
1908, for the purposes of a quarry, the following land,
namely:—
All that piece of land in the Provincial District of
Auckland, containing three acres and two roods,
more or less, being part of Allotment 18 of Sec-
tion 9, of the Suburbs of Auckland.
A plan of the said land is deposited at the Public Office
of the Point Chevalier Road Board, in Fifth Avenue, in
the Point Chevalier Road District, and is there open for
inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.
All persons affected are hereby required and called upon
to set forth, in writing, any well-grounded objections to
the opening of a quarry or to the taking of such lands, and
to send such writing, within forty days from the first
publication of this notice, to the Grey Lynn Borough Coun-
cil, addressed to the Town Clerk, at the office of the said
Borough Council, situated in Rose Road, in the Borough
of Grey Lynn.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto
existing between CHARLES DOLBEL, of Napier, Mer-
chant, and FREDERICK LECALDANO, of Palmerston North,
Fishmonger, in the business of Fishmongers, carried on at
Main Street West, Palmerston North, under the style of
"Lecaldano and Co.," has been dissolved by mutual
consent as from the 12th day of August, 1911. The busi-
ness will in future be carried on by the said FREDERICK
LECALDANO at the said premises. All moneys owing to the
said firm shall be paid to, and all debts owing by the said
firm shall be paid by, the said FREDERICK LECALDANO.

at Temuka under the style of "Drs. Volchman,
Davies, and Volchman" has, by mutual consent, been dis-
solved as from 30th June, 1911.
Dr. RONALD VOLCHMAN and Dr. BERNARD VOLCHMAN
will carry on the practice under the style of "Drs. Volch-

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the
above company will be held at the registered office
of Jas. J. Niven and Company (Limited), Napier, at

Liquidator's account of the winding-up of the company,
and to pass a resolution as to the disposal of the books,

of Auckland, in New Zealand, Plumber, hereby give public
notice that I have assumed and from henceforth upon all
occasions intend to sign and use and to be called and
known by the name of CECIL JAMES SMITH in place of my
present name of CECIL SMITH; and, further, that such in-
tended change of name is formally declared and evidenced
by a deed-poll under my hand and seal bearing date this
eighteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and
eleven, and intended to be forthwith enrolled in the office
at Auckland of the Supreme Court of New Zealand.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the
winding-up of the above-named company by the
Supreme Court was, on the 22nd day of August, 1911,
presented to Mr. Justice Denniston, a Judge of the
Supreme Court, by William Ward, of Awatoto, near
Napier, Contractor, and Thomas Reidy and Frank
Jennings, both of Napier aforesaid, Contractors, creditors
of the said company. And the said petition is directed to
be heard before a Judge of the said Court on the 2nd day
of September, 1911, at the Supreme Court House, Christ-
church, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon; and any creditor
or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose
the making of an order for the winding-up of the said
company under the above Act should appear at the time
of hearing by himself or his counsel for that purpose;
and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor
or contributor of the said company requiring the same,
by the undersigned, on payment of the regulated charge
for the same.

of 33s. per annum, including postage, PAYABLE IN
ADVANCE
. A less period than three months cannot be sub-
scribed for.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line
for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and
any subsequent insertion.

Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged
23s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper
, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand
.

The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday
evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be
received by the Government Printer before 3 o'clock of the
day preceding publication.

Communications should be addressed to the Government
Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders
should be made payable. Cheques should be crossed
"Public a/c," and exchange added.

Postage or duty stamps cannot be received in payment
from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders
are issued.

Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to
prevent delay in publication, a sufficient remittance should
accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be re-
turned with receipted account.
