Prohibiting all Private Alienation of certain Native Lands.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of August, 1911.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend the period of an Order in Council made the twenty-fourth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and ten, for a further period of six months, prohibiting all alienations of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienations in favour of the Crown.

Opening Lands in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Tuesday, the twenty-fourth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to section one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act, as they contain, or are supposed to contain, metal, mineral, or valuable stone.

Rotorua County.—Maketu Survey District.
Altitude, 850 ft. to 1,350 ft. above sea-level. Undulating to broken country; 28 acres fern, balance mixed forest comprising tawa, rimu, rata, birch, hinau, and miro, with thick undergrowth. Soil of good quality, of a sandy nature, on pumice formation; watered by Rerenga Stream, but water is difficult of access owing to a gorge. Situated six miles from Ngawaro Post-office by road formed to within half a mile of the section.
Whangarei County.—Hikurangi Parish.

Altitude, 750 ft. to 850 ft. above sea-level. Broken land; about 10 acres mixed forest comprising rimu, towai, taraire, kohekohe, rawarewa, mamaku, &c., with heavy undergrowth of punga, nikau, makomako, kiekie, and supplejack. Clay soil, of fair quality, on sandstone formation; well watered by small stream. Situated five miles from Hikurangi Railway-station by good formed road, or two miles by rough bridle-track.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this seventeenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Opening Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale or Selection.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Tuesday, the twenty-fourth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eleven; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

Broken land, covered with heavy mixed forest comprising tawa, towai, mahoe, miro, and a few rata and rimu trees, with dense undergrowth of supplejack, makomako, kotukutuku, punga, &c. Soil of medium quality, on slate formation; well watered by streams. Situated from eight to eleven miles from Marakopa—seven miles formed bridle-track, balance unformed.

Situated fourteen miles from Marakopa, of which distance seven miles is formed bridle-track; or twenty-six miles from Awakino by bridle-track formed to within two miles of the section.
