Amending the Description of a Reserve in the Canterbury
Land District.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-fifth
section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that
where there has been any error of description made in any
notification of any intended reserve, or where there appears
a great discrepancy in the area of any intended reserve
after the same shall have been surveyed, the Governor
may cancel any notification that may have been made in
respect of such reserve, and issue fresh notification in
respect thereof, with amended particulars and description:
And whereas an error was made in the description of the
boundaries of Reserve 3830, Stoke Settlement, Block V,
Rangiora Survey District, Canterbury Land District, in
the Warrants of the thirteenth day of April and twenty-
first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eleven,
and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 32, of the
twentieth day of April, and No. 52, of the twenty-ninth
day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eleven,
respectively, reserving the land for a railway ballast-pit;
and it is expedient to cancel the said notifications in so far
as they relate to Reserve 3830, Stoke Settlement, Block V,
Rangiora Survey District, aforesaid :
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder,
Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby revoke the Warrants of the thirteenth
day of April and twenty-first day of June, one thousand
nine hundred and eleven, in so far as they relate to the
said Reserve 3830, Stoke Settlement, Block V, Rangiora
Survey District, aforesaid, and do declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto shall be set apart as a
reserve for a railway ballast-pit.
SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing
by admeasurement 6 acres, more or less, being Reserve
No. 3830, situate in Stoke Settlement, Block V, Rangiora
Survey District. Bounded towards the east by Section 6,
400 links; towards the north and west by Section 5, 1500
links and 400 links respectively; and towards the south
by the Oxford-Rangiora Road and railway reserve, 1500
links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the
same is delineated on the plan marked L. 19418/34, de-
posited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at
Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twelfth day of August, one thousand nine
hundred and eleven.
