north of Sections 305 and 306, Block IX, Te Kawau Sur-
vey District, and the southern boundary of Run No. 24,
Block II, Sandy Survey District; also those portions of
the Mangaone and Taonui Ridings of Kairanga County at
present included in the existing Manawatu Electoral Dis-
trict. This district includes the Borough of Marton, and
the Town Districts of Mangaweka, Hunterville, Leth-
bridge, Bulls, and Rongotea.

PALMERSTON.

Palmerston District comprises the whole of the Kairanga
County less those portions of the Mangaone and Taonui
Ridings at present in the existing Electoral District of
Manawatu, and includes that portion of Oroua County at
present in the existing Electoral District of Palmerston.
This district includes the Borough of Palmerston North.

ŌTAKI.

Ōtaki District includes the whole of the Horowhenua
County; the whole of the Awahou and Kawakawa Ridings
of Manawatu County; that portion of the Carnarvon Rid-
ing lying to the south of the northern boundaries of Sec-
tions 305 and 306, Block IX, Te Kawau Survey District,
and the southern boundary of Run No. 24, Block II, Sandy
Survey District; the whole of the Wharerora Riding of the
Hutt County, and that part of the Mungaroa Riding of
Hutt County lying to the north of the main road over the
Rimutaka, the Pakuratahi River, and west of the Hutt
River. This district includes the Boroughs of Foxton and
Levin, and also Kapiti Island.

HUTT.

Hutt District comprises the whole of the Wainuiomata
Riding; that portion of the Mungaroa Riding lying to the
south of the main road over the Rimutaka, the Pakuratahi
River, and east of the Hutt River and the Wellington-
Napier Railway from the Upper Hutt Town District; also
that portion of the Epuni Riding lying to the east of the
Wellington-Napier Railway. This district includes the
Boroughs of Lower Hutt, Petone, and Eastbourne, the
Upper Hutt Town District, and Somes Island.

WELLINGTON NORTH.

Wellington North District comprises the existing Wel-
lington North Electoral District, and also that portion of
the City of Wellington lying to the west of Elizabeth
Street (Wadestown) to its intersection with the main road,
thence lying south of the main road to the Kaiwarra
Stream, thence by that stream to the Cemetery Road, and
by the said road to the existing northern boundary of the
Wellington Central Electoral District, less that portion of
the existing electoral district lying to the west of Wool-
combe Street and north of Abel Smith Street.

WELLINGTON CENTRAL.

Wellington Central District comprises the existing elec-
toral district less that portion of the existing Wellington
North Electoral District lying to the west of Woolcombe
Street and north of Abel Smith Street. To this district
has been added that portion of Wellington City lying to
the east of the existing Wellington Central Electoral Dis-
trict and bounded on the north by Lambton Harbour, on
the east by Clyde Quay and Kent Terrace, and on the south
by Buckle Street; also that portion lying to the south of
the present Wellington Central Electoral District bounded
towards the east by Tasman Street, on the South by Tainui
Street, and Sections 712, 711, and 710, Hankey Street, and
Sections 40 and 42.

WELLINGTON EAST.

Wellington East District comprises the existing Electoral
District of Wellington East less that portion of Wellington
City bounded towards the north by Lambton Harbour, to-
wards the east by Clyde Quay and Kent Terrace, on the
south by Buckle Street, and on the west by the existing
Wellington Central Electoral District: and includes that
portion of Wellington City bounded on the north by the
existing Wellington East Electoral District; on the east
and north by Evans Bay to the Wellington City boundary;
towards the east by the said city boundary; towards the
south by a road running parallel to the outfall sewer to
Tainui Terrace in Maranui Township, and by the northern
boundary of the said township to Newtown Park; towards
the west by the said Newtown Park and Suburban Sec-
tions 11 and 10 to the existing Electoral District of Wel-
ington South; thence by the said electoral district and
the existing Electoral District of Wellington East.

WELLINGTON SOUTH.

Wellington South District comprises the existing Elec-
toral District of Wellington South less that portion of the
City of Wellington lying south of the existing Wellington
Central Electoral District bounded towards the east by
Tasman Street, towards the south by Tainui Terrace, Sec-
tions 712, 711, and 710, Hankey Street, and Sections 40
and 42; and includes that portion of the City of Welling-
ton in the existing Wellington Suburbs Electoral District
bounded towards the east by the Township of Kilbirnie,
towards the south generally by Newtown Park, Russell
Terrace, Leraud Street, Adelaide Road, Chilka Street,
Stanley Street, Brittomart Street, the northern boundary
of Section 25, and the western boundary of Section 26,
to the existing Wellington South Electoral District.

WELLINGTON SUBURBS AND COUNTRY DISTRICT.

This district comprises the whole of the Makara County;
the whole of the Horokiwi Riding of Hutt County; that
portion of the Epuni Riding lying to the west of the
Wellington-Napier Railway from the Upper Hutt Town
District and lying west of the Boroughs of Lower Hutt
and Petone; and all that portion of the City of Welling-
ton not absorbed by the Electoral Districts of Wellington
North, Central, South; and East. This district includes
the Boroughs of Onslow, Karori, and Miramar, and the
Johnsonville Town District.

Proposed Boundaries of the Electoral Districts in the
South Island (including Stewart Island) of New Zea-
land.

THE South Island Representation Commission, ap-
pointed under the Legislature Act, 1908, in pursu-
ance of section 21 of the said Act, hereby publish for
general information the following proposed boundaries of
the electoral districts in the South Island (including
Stewart Island); and further give notice that written ob-
jections to the same, addressed to the undersigned, the
Chairman of the said Commission, will be received at the
office of the Chief Surveyor, Lands and Survey Depart-
ment, Christchurch, up to noon of Wednesday, the 13th
day of September, 1911.

Maps of the proposed districts may be seen at the offices
of the several local bodies in the said South Island (in-
cluding Stewart Island); of the Chief Surveyors at Dun-
edin, Christchurch, Nelson, Blenheim, Hokitika, and
Invercargill; of the Chief Electoral Officer at Wellington;
and of the several Registrars of Electors throughout the
South Island aforesaid (including Stewart Island).

Such objections as may be lodged will be considered by
the Commission on Thursday, the 14th day of September,
1911, at 10 o'clock, at the Provincial Council Chambers,
Christchurch.

SOUTH ISLAND ELECTORAL DISTRICTS.

NELSON.

Nelson District comprises the existing Nelson Electoral
District, less that portion of Sounds County lying east of
Pelorus Sound. This district also includes that portion
of the Wai-iti Riding of Waimea County bounded towards
the north-west by the Wai-iti River; towards the east by
the Waimea River from its junction with the Wai-iti River
to Section No. 3 in Block X, Waimea Survey District;
thence by that section to the junction of roads at the
northernmost corner of Section No. 8; thence by the road
forming the north-western boundary of that section, of
Sections Nos. 9 and 141 in Block IX, and of Sections
Nos. 140, 137, 136, 134, 1 of 133, 131, and 129 in
Block XIII, Waimea Survey District; and thence towards
the south-west by Section No. 1 of 42, said Block XIII,
Sections Nos. 19 and 40, Block XVI, Wai-iti Survey Dis-
trict, and the road forming the north-eastern boundaries
of Sections Nos. 2 of 2 and 19A; and continuing thence
north-westerly through Sections Nos. 79 and 85 to the
Wai-iti River.

MOTUEKA.

Motueka District comprises the existing Motueka Elec-
toral District, excepting that portion of the Wai-iti Riding
of Waimea County included in the Nelson Electoral Dis-
trict hereinbefore described. This district also includes
that portion of Mokihinui Riding of Buller County lying
between the boundary of the existing Motueka Electoral
District and the Ngakawhau River.

BULLER.

Buller District comprises the Murchison County, the
