Resolution made by the Mangaweka Town Board.

THE following resolution, made by the Mangaweka Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

MANGAWЕКА TOWN BOARD.
Resolution making Special Rate.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, and of every other power (if any) it in that behalf enabling, the Mangaweka Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £9,110, authorized to be raised by the Mangaweka Town Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of constructing waterworks and the installation of a sewerage system, the said Mangaweka Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2d. and 7/10 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) on all rateable property in the Mangaweka Town Board District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Notice to Mariners No. 82 of 1911.
AUCKLAND HARBOUR.—PROTECTED ANCHORAGE FOR YACHTS.

Wellington, N.Z., 25th July, 1911.
THE Auckland Harbour Board has notified that the following-mentioned area has been approved as a protected anchorage for yachts:—
A line drawn north 48° W. from a point 1,250 ft. from the N.E. end of the new sewer, at high tide, to a point intersecting a line drawn south 84° W. from the southern end of Hobson Point; thence by a line S. 84° W., 1,000 ft.; thence by a line S. 8° E. to a point intersecting the sewer, approximately 2,200 ft. from its western end. The north-east point of the anchorage will be marked by a small dolphin.

THE following Notice to Mariners, received from the Marine Department, Brisbane, is published for general information.

DERELICT VESSEL.—VICINITY LORD HOWE ISLAND.
It is reported that the schooner “Whangaroa,” timber laden, has been abandoned in the vicinity of Lord Howe Island.
Mariners navigating in that locality are cautioned to keep a good look-out for the derelict vessel.

NEW PLYMOUTH WHARF BERTHING SIGNALS.
Marine Department,
Wellington, N.Z., 27th July, 1911.
THE New Plymouth Harbour Board have notified that on and after Friday, 11th August, 1911, the following berthing signals will be shown from the staff on the end of the wharf:—
By Day.
By the British Semaphore Signals—
A East side outer berth.
B East side middle berth.
C East side inner berth.
E Berth at coal-bunker on breakwater.
F West side middle berth.
G West side outer berth.
L Wait until sea moderates.
N Anchor.
R Wait a little for a berth.
S Send a boat for telegrams or letters.
U Proceed.
Z You are dragging your anchor.
Vessels berthing at the New Plymouth Wharf will berth on the side of the wharf that is indicated by the semaphore arm.
By Night.
Two red lights in line of wharf: Berth on east side.
Two green lights in line of wharf: Berth on west side.
These lights show line of wharf.
Position of berths will be signalled by Morse lamp, and any order from agents of vessels approaching.
