Milton Borough Council declared a Leasing Authority under the Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of August, 1911.

Present:

His Excellency The Governor IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Milton Borough Council is a body of persons having power to lease land held in trust, reserved, or set apart for public purposes, and has requested the Governor in Council to declare it to be a leasing authority within the meaning of the Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in compliance with such request, and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred by the above-mentioned Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the Milton Borough Council is a leasing authority within the meaning of the Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908.

Incorporating the Waipa Land Settlement Association.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of August, 1911.

WHEREAS by section seven of the Land Settlement Finance Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"), it is provided that, as soon as practicable after the complete execution of any agreement under the said Act, application in the prescribed form shall be made to the Governor by or on behalf of the purchasers for an Order in Council confirming the agreement in pursuance of the said Act:

And whereas by sections eight and nine of the said Act it is further provided that, upon receipt of such application, the Minister of Finance shall refer the same, together with the agreement, to the Board of Land Purchase Commissioners for its report thereon; and, if the Board reports that the agreement is fit and proper to be so confirmed, the Governor may, if he thinks fit, by Order in Council confirm the agreement accordingly: And whereas under the provisions of the said Act an agreement, bearing date the twenty-second day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, has been entered into between Frank McGovern, vendor, of the one part, and Leonard Harcourt Peat, George Kelso Peat, Harry Thomas Peat, Stephen Benjamin Sifleet, and James Waugh, purchasers, of the other part, for the purchase of the land therein described, and the said purchasers therein agreed to become incorporated as the Waipa Land Settlement Association: And whereas application has been made in the prescribed form for the issue of an Order in Council confirming the said agreement: And whereas the said application, together with the said agreement, was referred to the Board of Land Purchase Commissioners for its report, and the Board has reported that no roading is required in respect of the said land, and that the said agreement is fit and proper to be so confirmed:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby confirm the said agreement dated the twenty-second day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Recreation Reserve in Taranaki Land District brought under Part II of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of August, 1911.

His Excellency The Governor IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-sixth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Taranaki Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as Matire Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

SCHEDULE.

MATIRE DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 6 acres and 12 perches, more or less, being Suburban Section No. 32, Matire Village, Aria Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Riro Terrace; towards the south-east by Sections Nos. 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, and 1, Block III, Matire Village; towards the south-west by Ohura-Mokau Road; and towards the north-west by Kokako Street: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1480, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Setting apart Land under the Workers' Dwellings Act, 1910.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of August, 1911.

His Excellency The Governor IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by section three of the Workers' Dwellings Act, 1910, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of the Workers' Dwellings Act, 1910.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Wellington, containing by admeasurement 34 acres 3 roods 10 perches, more or less, and being part of Section 387, Town of Palmerston North, and bounded towards the north-east by Section 388, 2471.6 links; towards the south-east by other part of Section 387, 1300.6 links, 250 links, and 200 links; towards the south-west by Sections 384, 383, 382, and the abutment of two streets, 1450 links, and by other part of Section 387, 407 links and 1000 links; and towards the north-west by Main Street East and Napier Road, 1114.1 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated upon the plan deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar, Wellington, and numbered A 2135.
