Domains Act, 1908, aforesaid, declare my intention to exchange the portion of the reserve described in the first column of the Schedule hereto for the lands described in the second column of the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

First Column.
Description and Purpose of Portion of Reserve intended to be exchanged.

All that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 24 perches, more or less, being Sections 31, 33, 34, 35, 174, 175, and 176, Town of Cobden, being part of Reserve 1287, mentioned in New Zealand Gazette No. 3, of the 20th January, 1869, page 28. Bounded as follows: Towards the north-west by Sturge Street, 200 links; towards the north-east by Sections 178 and 177, 200 links; again towards the north-west by Section 177, 200 links; again towards the north-east by Fox Street, 300 links; towards the south-east by Newcastle Street, 400 links; towards the south-west by Bright Street, 100 links; again towards the north-west, south-west, and south-east by Library Reserve No. 1288 (Section 32), 200 links, 100 links, and 200 links respectively; and again towards the south-west by Bright Street, 300 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5530/3c, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Reserved for a site for public buildings or other purposes of the General Government in New Zealand Gazette No. 3, of the 20th January, 1869.

Second Column.
Description of Lands to be obtained in Exchange therefor.

All that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 32 perches, more or less, being Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10, Town Block I, Town of Cobden. Bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by Sections 1, 2, and 3, of Town Block I, 223·3 links; towards the south-east by Pitt Street, 651·63 links; towards the south-west by Residence Area 6 and a municipal reserve, 250·05 links; towards the north-west by a municipal reserve, 575·85 links; again towards the north-east by Residence Area 7, 35·28 links; and again towards the north-west by said Residence Area 7, 184·13 links.

Also all that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 18 perches, more or less, being Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 of Town Block II, Town of Cobden. Bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by Bright Street, 644·4 links; towards the south-east by Residence Area 1, 200 links; towards the south-west and again towards the south-east by Residence Area 26, 300 links and 206·6 links respectively; again towards the south-west by Residence Area 3, 102·3 links; and towards the north-west by a right-of-way, 493·07 links and 39·1 links.

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same are delineated on the plan marked L. 5530/3D, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this seventeenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Opening Land in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Tuesday, the twenty-sixth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to section one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act, as it contains, or is supposed to contain, metal, mineral, or valuable stone.

Altitude, 800 ft. to 1,000 ft. above sea-level. Undulating fern land, the greater portion being ploughable. Soil of fair quality, on volcanic-rock formation; well watered by small streams. Situated about fourteen miles from Tauranga—twelve miles by main coach-road, balance unformed road.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this seventeenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Opening National Endowment Land in Auckland Land District for Selection.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the national endowment land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Tuesday, the twenty-sixth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Act.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this seventeenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Opening Land in Auckland Land District for Sale or Selection.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Tuesday, the twenty-sixth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eleven; and also that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.
