Redesignation of Companies of the New Zealand Garrison Artillery.

H IS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to abolish, in accordance with section 6 (a) of the Defence Act, 1909, the existing designations of the undermentioned companies of the New Zealand Garrison Artillery, and to approve that such companies be redesignated in the manner as set forth hereunder, and with effect from 17th March, 1911 :—
Nos. 1, 2, and 3 Companies, Auckland Division, to be redesignated Nos. 1, 6, and 7 Companies of the New Zealand Garrison Artillery respectively.
Nos. 1, 2, and 3 Companies, Wellington Division, to be redesignated Nos. 3, 5, and 9 Companies of the New Zealand Garrison Artillery respectively.
Nos. 1 and 2 Companies, Canterbury Division, to be amalgamated and designated “No. 4 Company, New Zealand Garrison Artillery,” with headquarters at Lyttelton.
The Westport Garrison Artillery to be redesignated “No. 8 Company, New Zealand Garrison Artillery.”
Nos. 1 and 2 Companies, Otago Division, to be amalgamated and designated “No. 2 Company, New Zealand Garrison Artillery,” with headquarters at Port Chalmers.

he having a total rank and commissioned service to 23rd January, 1911, entitling him thereto of twenty-three years and ninety-nine days.
Colonel Honourable WILLIAM EDWARD COLLINS, M.B., M.L.C., Reserve of Officers (New Zealand Medical Corps),
he having a total service to 12th June, 1911, entitling him thereto of thirty years one hundred and eighty-three days.

Special Order made by the Kawhia County Council altering Ridings and fixing Representation.

T HE following special order, made by the Kawhia County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1908.

KAWHIA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order altering Ridings and fixing Representation.
In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 23 of the Counties Act, 1908, the Kawhia County Council resolves, by way of special order, as follows :—

The present division of the County of Kawhia into six ridings is revoked, and in lieu thereof the said county shall be divided into seven ridings, to be called respectively Kawhia Riding, Matakowhai Riding, Oparau Riding, Te Kauri Riding, Awaroa Riding, Waiharakeke Riding, and Taharoa Riding, which said ridings are respectively described in the Schedule hereto.

The said Kawhia County Council shall consist of seven members, and one member shall be elected by the electors of each of the aforesaid ridings.

The alteration hereby made shall take effect on and after the 18th day of October, 1911.
