Prescribing Dues for the Use of Te Mata Wharf.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of June, 1911.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by Orders in Council dated the twelfth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and four, and the eleventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 76, of the seventeenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and four, and No. 35, of the eighteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and seven, respectively, Robert Ernest Lester was licensed to occupy parts of the foreshore at Te Mata, in Hokianga Harbour, as sites for a wharf :

And whereas the said licenses have, with the consent of the Minister of Marine, been transferred to Herbert Charles Harris (hereinafter called “the licensee”) :

And whereas it is desirable to fix the dues and rates to be charged for the use of such wharf :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on him by the thirteenth section of the Harbours Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prescribe that the dues and rates specified in the Schedule hereto shall be charged and taken by the licensee from the date of the publication of this Order in Council in the New Zealand Gazette, for the use of the said wharf.

Prescribing Dues for the Use of the Elmslie Bay Wharf.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of June, 1911.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-fourth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and nine, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 18, of the fourth day of March following, Messrs. Wallace Thomas Webber, Andrew Hegarty, and Allan John Woodman, as trustees for the contributors to the cost of the wharf hereinafter mentioned (and hereinafter called “the licensees”), were licensed to occupy part of the foreshore at Elmslie Bay, in the Sounds County, as a site for a wharf :

And whereas it is desirable to fix the dues and rates to be charged for the use of such wharf :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the thirteenth section of the Harbours Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prescribe that the dues and rates set forth in the Schedule hereto shall be charged and taken by the licensees, from the date of the publication of this Order in Council in the New Zealand Gazette, for the use of the said wharf : Provided, however, that any person paying in advance a subscription of five shillings or upwards in any one year towards the cost of maintaining the said wharf shall be exempt from payment of wharfage (but not storage dues and rates) during the year or part of the year in respect of which the payment of the said subscription is made; each year to date from the first day of January.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Hinds No. 2 Domain.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of June, 1911.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain :

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the twenty-sixth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-ninth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight, certain powers were delegated to the Hinds No. 2 Domain Board, no period being stated :

And whereas by section fifty-four of the said Act the period for which the said Board shall hold office will expire on the twenty-fifth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and eleven :

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the Hinds No. 2 Domain :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

JOHN COOK,
JOHN MOFFAT HAMPTON,
FRANK GOLDSMITH,
THOMAS LOMAX GIBBS,
WILLIAM KNOX RENNIE, and
ALEXANDER MCKENZIE,

as from the twenty-sixth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, to be the Hinds No. 2 Domain Board, having the control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the fourth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Hinds Hall as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
