Resuming Land for Scenic Purposes in the Otago Land District.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and forty-four of the Land Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor in Council may, by Proclamation, resume possession of any land leased under Part III of the said Act, or under any corresponding Part of the Land Act, 1892, which in his opinion is required for any public purpose:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land which is held under occupation-with-right-of-purchase license from His Majesty the King under Part III of the Land Act, 1892, dated the twenty-second day of August, one thousand nine hundred:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required for a public purpose—that is to say, for scenic purposes:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby proclaim and declare that I hereby resume possession of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto for the public purpose hereinbefore mentioned, the same being part of the land held under occupation-with-right-of-purchase license as aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 111 acres 2 roods 10 perches, more or less, being part of Section 4, Block XII, Rimu Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the most northern corner of the aforesaid section; thence bounded towards the north-east by lines bearing 102° 43′, 680·1 links, 135° 32′ 30″, 4839·7 links; towards the south-east and south-west by lines bearing 219° 19′, 835·1 links, 276° 24′, 1930·6 links, 282° 54′, 1276·4 links, 337° 33′, 865·4 links, 294° 13′, 1138·7 links; and towards the north-west by the abutment of a road, and by lines bearing 21° 38′ 20″, 2208·4 links, and 24° 16′, 471·2 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 107/8, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this third day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Lands proclaimed as Roads in Blocks II, III, and IV, Ngatapa Survey District, Hawke’s Bay Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consent of the lessees and mortgagees of the Crown lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto, and of the Waikohu County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said lands are situated, proclaim as a road the lands in Ngatapa Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consent of the lessee of the Crown land mentioned in the Schedule hereto, and of the Riwaka Road Board, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Kaiteriteri Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.
