Constituting the Town District of Manunui, in the County of Kaitieke.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is enacted by the Town Boards Act, 1908, that the Governor may declare that any locality outside a borough wherein there are not less than fifty householders shall be a town district :
And whereas a petition has been presented to the Governor by the inhabitants within the area mentioned and described in the Schedule hereto, praying that such area may be constituted a town district under the Town Boards Act, 1908 :
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Town Boards Act, 1908, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said area shall be a town district, and the same is hereby constituted a town district, under the Town Boards Act, 1908, by the name of the Manunui Town District. And in further pursuance and exercise of the said powers I do hereby proclaim, declare, and appoint that the Board of Commissioners for the said district shall consist of seven members.
SCHEDULE.
MANUNUI TOWN DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded towards the north and north-east generally by the Wanganui River from a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 5, Block II, Hunua Survey District, to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 139, Suburbs of Manunui (cemetery reserve); thence towards the south-east by a right line to and by the said south-eastern boundary of Section No. 139 and its production to the Main Trunk Railway line; thence towards the south-west by that railway-line to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 83, Suburbs of Manunui (quarry reserve); thence again towards the south-east by a right line to the easternmost corner of that section, and by the south-eastern boundary to Section No. 29, Block II, Hunua Survey District; thence towards the east by the eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 29, 22, 24, and 26, Block II aforesaid, to the southernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence again towards the south-west by the south-western boundary of that section to the public road forming its western boundary; thence across that road to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 17, Block II aforesaid; thence by the southern boundary of that section to its south-western corner; thence towards the west generally by the western boundaries of Sections Nos. 17, 16, 15, and 14 to the westernmost corner of Section No. 79, Suburbs of Manunui, in Block II aforesaid; thence again towards the south generally by a right line through Sections Nos. 1, 2, and 3, Block II aforesaid, to the corner of the road opposite the easternmost corner of Section No. 4; thence across the said road and by the southern boundary of the said Section No. 4 to its westernmost corner; thence towards the north-west by the north-western boundary of the last-mentioned section, and by the road forming part of the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 5, Block II aforesaid, to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of that section; thence again towards the south-west by a right line across the said road to the north-eastern corner of the said Section No. 5; and thence by that section and the production of its north-eastern boundary to the Wanganui River, the place of commencement.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven.
