Altitude, from 250 ft. to 700 ft. above sea-level. Soil fair to good, on clay-and-limestone formation. Undulating and hilly country, with flat-topped spurs covered with mixed bush, mostly worked over by sawmills, and parts fire-swept. Watered by small streams. The sections range from a quarter of a mile to one mile and a quarter from end of formed road. Road access will be provided when sections selected. Distant from Brown’s Railway-station about two miles to north-east corner of block.

Altitude, from about 180 ft. to 400 ft. above sea-level. Undulating, with flat-topped spurs; all good soil, on limestone formation; covered with mixed worked-out bush; watered by small streams. Access by formed and metalled roads within a quarter of a mile of north-west corner of Section 14. Distant about four miles and a half from Lochiel Railway-station, post-office, store, and school.

Land temporarily reserved for a Site for a Public School in the Auckland Land District.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for a site for a public school.
SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 3 roods 16 perches, more or less, being Section 4A, situated in Block II, Hukerenui Survey District, formerly part of Section 4 of the aforesaid Block II. Bounded towards the north-east generally by a stream; towards the south by a public road, 600 links and 231 links; and towards the south-west by Section 3 of said Block II, 940 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on plan marked L. 5541/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

to be a Trustee in the place of John Manchester, deceased, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Waimate Public Cemetery, in conjunction with George Henry Graham, Andrew Carter, Alfred Garland, the Reverend McKenzie Gibson, and John Foley, previously appointed.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons set out in the Schedule hereto, being persons holding the office of Postmaster under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, at the places set opposite their names in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.
