Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Highbank Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of June, 1911.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the fourth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and four, delegating powers to the Highbank Domain Board, and doth hereby appoint

CHARLES WILLIAM SMITH,
ARTHUR THOMAS LILLEY,
PETER DRUMMOND, Jun.,
ROBERT CHARLES, and
GEORGE LEGGETT

to be the Highbank Domain Board, having, subject to the said Act, control of the land described in the Schedule hereto, which land is a public domain, and shall be called the Highbank Domain; and also doth hereby appoint Thursday, the thirteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the School, Highbank, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

HIGHBANK DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, being reserve numbered 3198, Highbank Settlement, Block II, Corwar Survey District. Bounded north-eastward by a road-line, 773·8 links; south-eastward by a road-line, 1227·9 links; south-westward by Lots 58 and 59, Highbank Settlement, 856·6 links; and north-westward by Lot 50, Highbank Settlement, 1225 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1207, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink.

Karama Riding of County of Buller constituted a Special District under the Auctioneers Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of June, 1911.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in the ninth section of the Auctioneers Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the area comprised in the Karama Riding of the County of Buller, as that riding is at present constituted (being a part of the said Dominion which is sparsely populated), shall be a special district for the purposes of the said Act, and shall be known by the name of the Karama District; and it is hereby declared that the amount of the auctioneer’s license fee for the said district shall be ten pounds, and that the Clerk of the Buller County Council shall be the Licensing Officer for the said Karama District.

Setting apart Reserve under the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of June, 1911.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor in Council is authorized under the said Act to set apart any specified area of Crown lands within a kauri-gum district to be a kauri-gum reserve under the said Act:

And whereas it is expedient to create and set apart the kauri-gum reserve hereinafter mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby set apart the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a kauri-gum reserve, with the name set over the description of such reserve in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

KAUKAPAKAPA KAURI-GUM RESERVE (FOR KAUKAPAKAPA SETTLEMENT).

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 570 acres, more or less, being Allotments Nos. 30, 39, 40, 41, 42, and 43, Kaukapakapa Parish, Blocks VI and X, Kaipara Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Allotments Nos. 118, 111, 110, and 109, Kaukapakapa Parish, 9507·3 links; towards the east generally by a public road 100 links wide, 1525·8, 427·5, 799·1, 1055, 245, 850, 155, 1250, 410·7, 191, 665, 697, 570, and 545 links; towards the south-west by eastern portion of Allotment No. 68 of the aforesaid parish, 7718·5 links; towards the south-east by western portion of 68 of the aforesaid parish, 1820, 665, 295, 700, 226, 779, and 298 links; and towards the west generally by a public road 100 links wide, 358, 293·5, 1107·4, 1005·2, 488·5, 896·1, 591·5, 933·7, 341, 260, 867·4, 513, and 339·5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: save and excepting a road within the above-described boundaries: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5525/6, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. Vesting a Reserve in the Kohukohu District Public Library (Incorporated).

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of June, 1911.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a site for a public library and mechanics’ institute:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Kohukohu District Public Library (Incorporated):

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Kohukohu District Public Library (Incorporated), in trust, as a site for a library and mechanics’ institute.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 16 perches, more or less, being Section No. 71, Block X, Mangamuka Survey District (Kohukohu Township), commencing at a peg marked IV, 833940 links north and 550818·6 links west of Mount Eden. Bounded towards the north-east by a public road 30 links wide bearing 110° 56′, 100 links; towards the south-east by a line bearing 200° 56′, 100 links; towards the south-west by a line bearing 290° 56′, 100 links; and towards the north-west by a line bearing 20° 56′, 100 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid bearings and linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 7433/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
