NOTE.—The barometer during the month has been fairly steady, with the weather mild and dry for the time of the year. Total bright sunshine, 144 hours 6 minutes; and four sunless days. Frosts occurred on three mornings. The mean earth temperature at 1 ft. was 55·6°, and 57·3° at 3 ft. Mean dew-point, 45·5°; mean elastic force of vapour, 0·305"; and mean relative humidity, 73 per cent.
