Revoking all Licenses issued under the Race Meetings Act, 1909.

PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by section 4 of the Race Meetings Act, 1909, I hereby revoke all licenses issued under the said Act, as from 31st July, 1911, with a view to issuing licenses in future on such dates as may be required.

Special Orders made by the Council of the County of Opotiki.

THE following special orders, made by the Opotiki County Council, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

OPOTIKI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making a Special Rate.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Opotiki County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest at the rate of £3 10s. per centum and other charges on a loan of £540, authorized to be raised by the Opotiki County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, being an amount equal to 10 per centum on the original sum of £5,400 raised by the said Council for the purpose of constructing the Opotiki–Ohiwa and Opotiki–Waiawa Roads, the said Opotiki County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/50 of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the County of Opotiki; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until such loan is fully paid off.
I, James Burman Gow, Chairman of the Opotiki County Council, do hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Opotiki County Council held on the 25th day of March, 1911, and duly confirmed at a special meeting of the said Council held on the 15th day of May, 1911.
In testimony whereof the common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Opotiki County has been hereunto affixed.

OPOTIKI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making a Special Rate.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Opotiki County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorized to be raised by the Opotiki County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing a bridge and approaches thereto over the Otara River, the said Opotiki County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/16 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the County of Opotiki; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until such loan is fully paid off.
I, James Burman Gow, Chairman of the Opotiki County Council, do hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Opotiki County Council held on the 25th day of March, 1911, and duly confirmed at a special meeting of the said Council held on the 15th day of May, 1911.

Resolutions made by the Council of the Borough of Timaru.

THE following resolutions, made by the Timaru Borough Council, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments.

TIMARU BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Resolution making a Special Rate.
THAT this Council, in pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, and in exercise of all other powers and authorities it thereunto enabling, doth hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £36,000 for the construction of borough drainage and sewerage works in the area recently added to the Borough of Timaru, and to complete the drainage and sewerage works in the area of which the said borough previously consisted, and for house and other building connections and for other purposes in relation thereto prescribed by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, or either of them, in both the old and new areas of the said borough, and which said loan has been authorized to be raised by the Timaru Borough Council by a poll of the ratepayers of the said borough taken on the 19th day of April, 1911, under the before-mentioned Acts, and which loan has been agreed to be granted by the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Board to the said Council under Part IV of the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, and the regulations made thereunder, the Timaru Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 4d. in the pound sterling upon the annual rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Timaru, comprising the whole of the Borough of Timaru; and this Council resolves that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of June and the 31st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and six months, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Made and passed at an ordinary meeting of the Council of the Borough of Timaru held on the 12th day of June, 1911; and sealed with the common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Timaru in the presence of—
