All in the Otago Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Proclaiming a Government Road in Block X, Ngatimaru Survey District, as closed.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section one hundred and thirty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the portion of Government road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

THE road mentioned in list hereunder:—

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Proclaiming Waimea Creek, in the Land District of Westland, together with its Tributaries, to be Watercourses for the Deposit of Tailings.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and twenty-six of the Mining Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that on application in that behalf the Governor may from time to time, by Proclamation, constitute and set apart the whole or any part of any watercourse to be a watercourse into which may be discharged any tailings, débris, and waste matter produced by or resulting from mining operations carried on under the said Act, and in which, or on the banks of which, mining operations may be lawfully carried on :

And whereas applications as aforesaid in respect of the watercourses described in the Schedule hereto were duly notified and gazetted, as provided by the said Act, on the dates set out in the description of those watercourses in the said Schedule :

And whereas His Excellency the Governor has decided to exercise the powers conferred upon him by the said Act :

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby constitute and set apart the watercourses described in the Schedule hereto to be watercourses into which may be discharged any tailings, débris, and waste waters produced by or resulting from mining operations carried on under the said Act, and in which or on the banks of which mining operations may be lawfully carried on; and I do hereby further prescribe that this Proclamation shall take effect on and from the first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

SCHEDULE.

THAT stream known as Waimea Creek, situated in the Westland Land District, which flows north-westerly from its several sources in Block XV, Waimea Survey District, for a distance of about nine miles and a half to the sea, together with the several tributaries thereof. Date of gazetting of notice, 10th March, 1910.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Auckland, this fourteenth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Land taken for Forest-plantation Purposes in Blocks VIII, Paeroa Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Public Works Amendment Act, 1910, for forest-plantation purposes, in Block VIII, Paeroa Survey District :

And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed :

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Public Works Amendment Act, 1910, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for forest-plantation purposes; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the sixth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.
