Notice of Request to amend Specification.
Patent Office,
Wellington, 9th June, 1911.
REQUEST for leave to amend the undermentioned application for Letters Patent has been received, and is open to public inspection at this office. Any person may, at any time from one month from the date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing of opposition to the amendments. Such notice must set forth the particular grounds of objection, and be in duplicate. A fee of 10s. is payable thereon.
No. 29236.—George Scarfe, of Napier, New Zealand, necktie-frame. (Advertised in Supplement to New Zealand Gazette, No. 37, of the 4th May, 1911.)
The nature of the proposed amendments is as follows:—
(1.) To strike out the words “bayonet-joint type of,” lines 12 and 13, page 2, and to insert instead “closely resembling a stirrup in shape, the upper portion of which is bound by a small piece of metal tube or band.”
(2.) To omit the words “and with an extension” down to “stud’s head,” lines 28, 29, 30, 31, page 2, and to insert instead the words “the stem of which is held firmly by the upper portion B of the loop.”
(3.) To insert the words “or tube of metal” after the word “band,” line 31, page 2.
(4.) To insert the words “or tube” after the word “band,” line 33, page 2.
(5.) To omit the words “a bayonet-joint slot,” lines 2 and 3, claim 1, page 3, and to insert instead “an elongated stirrup-shaped loop.”
(6.) To alter Figs. 1 and 2 of the drawing.
The applicant states: “My reasons for making this amendment are as follow: To more clearly illustrate and explain the exact construction of my invention.”
