And whereas the voting-papers used at the poll for the said loan by a clerical error stated that the sinking fund to be created for the redemption of the said loan was three pounds (£3) per centum per annum, in place of one pound (£1) per centum per annum, the latter being the amount of the sinking fund intended to be created :

And whereas it appears that the ratepayers have not been misled by such irregularity :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by section one hundred and twenty-one of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby validate the said voting-paper, and doth hereby declare that the proceedings relative to the said loan shall not be called in question by reason of the irregularity aforesaid.

Vesting a Reserve in the Ashley Road Board.


ISLINGTON, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of May, 1911.

Present :

THE HONOURABLE JAMES CARROLL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for protective works in connection with the road-bridge over the River Ashley : And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Corporation of the Ashley Road District :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Corporation of the Ashley Road District, in trust, as a reserve for protective works in connection with road-bridge over the River Ashley.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 110 acres, more or less, being Reserve 2431 (in red), situate in Block VI, Rangiora Survey District. Bounded towards the north by the road along the left bank of the River Ashley which forms the southern boundary of Rural Section 4471; towards the east by Reserve 3503; towards the south by the road along the right bank of the River Ashley which forms the northern boundary of Rural Sections 958, 4216, and 28997; and towards the west by Reserve 3101: save and excepting thereout part of Reserve 3036 which is included in the above-described boundaries: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 20801/14, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a site for offices of the Temuka Road Board : And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Corporation of the Temuka Road District :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Corporation of the Temuka Road District, in trust, as a site for offices of the Temuka Road Board.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 5 perches, more or less, being sections numbered 55 and 56, Borough of Temuka. Bounded towards the north by High Street; towards the east by the Great Southern Railway Reserve; towards the south by Lots 57 and 58, Town of Temuka; and towards the west by Lots 51, 52, and 53 of the said town: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5456/16, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.

Appointing a District Valuer under the Valuation of Land Act, 1908.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirty-first day of May, 1911.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the Valuation of Land Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint, as from the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Guaranteeing Debentures proposed to be issued by the Greymouth Harbour Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirty-first day of May, 1911.

Present :

THE HONOURABLE JAMES CARROLL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the Greymouth Harbour Board Loans Consolidation Act, 1910, and the Greymouth Harbour Board Loans Amendment Act, 1910, it is provided that the Greymouth Harbour Board may raise loans for the purposes, and subject to the conditions in the Greymouth Harbour Board Loans Consolidation Act, 1910, specified, and that prior to the issue of a loan proposed to be raised under the authority of the Greymouth Harbour Board Loans Consolidation Act, 1910, and the Greymouth Harbour Board Loans Consolidation Amendment Act, 1910, the Governor in Council, if satisfied at any time that the revenues accruing to the Board under the Acts therein referred to or otherwise are sufficient to meet the interest on such loan and to provide a sinking fund for repayment thereof, may declare the loan and interest to be guaranteed under the Greymouth Harbour Board Loans Amendment Consolidation Act, 1910, and that any loan and interest so guaranteed shall be a charge upon and, in the event of default in payment thereof by the Greymouth Harbour Board, shall be payable out of the Consolidated Fund : And whereas the Greymouth Harbour Board, under the powers aforesaid, proposes to raise a loan of three hundred thousand pounds by the issue of three hundred debentures of one thousand pounds each, and redeem all the said debentures within forty-one years from the issue thereof : And whereas the Governor in Council is satisfied that the revenues accruing to the Greymouth Harbour Board as aforesaid are sufficient to meet the interest on the said loan, and to provide a sinking fund for repayment thereof :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Acts, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that all consolidated debentures which may be issued by the
