Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

THE parcel of land mentioned hereunder:—

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 18511, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in the Kirikiri roa Road District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto forms part of land acquired for the purposes of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:

And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the Kirikiri roa Road District, the local authority of which has assented to the issue of this Proclamation:

And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said road:

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Kirikiri roa Road Board, and shall be maintained by the said Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing 1 acre 2 roods 25 perches, more or less, being a portion of Section 152, in the Parish of Komakorau, situated in Blocks IV, III, and VII, Newcastle Survey District, and being a portion of railway land near Ngaruawahia, on the Auckland-Marton Railway, and being bounded as follows: On the north-east, south-east, and south-west by the north-eastern, south-eastern, and south-western boundaries respectively of the railway land, distances of 101 links, 1648 links, and 100 links respectively; and on the north-west by a line, at a bearing of 39° 53′, a distance of 1668·53 links: as the said area of land is more particularly shown coloured purple on plan marked W.R. 18297, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways, at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Land taken for the Use, Convenience, and Enjoyment of the Waitomo Caves House, in Block X, Orahiri Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work, to wit, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Waitomo Caves House:

And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities in me vested by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the said Waitomo Caves House; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.
