MOTUEKA HARBOUR BOARD.
Special Order for making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Motueka Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £20,000, authorized to be raised by the Motueka Harbour Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the improvements of the Motueka Harbour, the said Motueka Harbour Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property of the Motueka Harbour District, comprising the Borough of Motueka, the Motueka Riding of the Waimea County, and that portion of the Moutere Riding being the late Lower Moutere Road District as described in the Gazette dated 30th day of April, 1883; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and payable yearly on the 31st January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-two years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Motueka Harbour Board held on the 1st day of March, 1911, and confirmed at a special meeting of the Motueka Harbour Board held on the 29th day of March, 1911.

THE following special orders, made by the Masterton Borough Council, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

MASTERON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order authorizing Loan.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, the Masterton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That the Masterton Borough Council do hereby, under its common seal, authorize the raising of a special loan of £3,155 for the purpose of providing a moiety of the estimated cost of constructing two bridges over the Waipoua River at the northern entrance to the Town of Masterton, together with 26 chains of approaches thereto.
The common seal of the Council of the Borough of Masterton was hereto affixed pursuant to resolution to that effect dated the 15th day of March, 1911, in the presence of—

MASTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order making Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, and of all other Acts and powers (if any) enabling it in that behalf, the Masterton Borough Council do hereby, under its common seal, resolve: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges upon a loan of £3,155, authorized to be raised by the Council of the said borough, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts or otherwise as aforesaid, for the providing a moiety of the estimated cost of constructing two bridges over the Waipoua River at the northern entrance to the Town of Masterton, together with 26 chains of approaches thereto, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 9/100 of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all the rateable property of the Borough of Masterton; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of June and the 31st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan be fully paid off; the rate of interest to be £3 10s. per centum per annum.

MASTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
A Special Order made by the Masterton Borough Council at a Special Meeting of the Council held on Tuesday, the 14th Day of February, 1911, and confirmed at a subsequent Special Meeting held on the 15th Day of March, 1911.
RESOLVED, That the Masterton Borough Council, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1908, and the Rating Act; 1908, and in pursuance of all other Acts and powers (if any) enabling it in that behalf, hereby resolves by special order to borrow, by way of special loan, the sum of £4,000 for the purpose of paying off the following special loan heretofore lawfully raised by the said borough —namely, special loan of £4,000 authorized to be raised for the purpose of establishing an abattoir for the purposes of the Borough of Masterton, and secured by a special rate made and levied on the 15th day of May, 1905; that the loan be called the Abattoir Loan, 1910; that the currency of the said special loan shall be for a period of thirty-five years, commencing on the 30th day of May, 1910, and maturing on the 30th day of May, 1945; that the interest on the said special loan be at the rate of £4 10s. per centum per annum, and be payable half-yearly on each 30th day of June and 31st day of December; that the form of security for the payment of the principal and interest of the said special loan be debentures (and relative coupons) in a form in conformity with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, each for the sum of £500; that a sinking fund of an annual sum of £60 be and the same is hereby established in connection with the said loan, such annual sum to be paid by equal half-yearly payments on the 30th day of June and the 31st day of December in every year; that the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said special loan, and the interest, sinking fund, and other charges thereon, a special rate of ½d. in the pound, to be made and levied by the Council by special order upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of and within the administrative area of the Borough of Masterton; that the principal and interest and sinking fund shall be payable at the post-office at Masterton, to the credit of the Public Trustee, or at the Bank of New Zealand, Wellington, at the option of the Public Trustee.
