Exempting Part of Hampden Terrace, in the City of Nelson, from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of March, 1911.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE JAMES CARROLL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having control of a road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council:
And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions with respect to the building-line as the Governor by Order in Council thinks fit to impose:
And whereas on the fourteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and ten, the Nelson City Council, the local authority having control of the portion of Hampden Terrace described in the Schedule hereto, did by resolution declare that the provisions of the said section one hundred and seventeen should not apply to the said portion of street:
And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution in so far as it affects the said portion of street described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of street in the City of Nelson, known as Hampden Terrace, commencing at its junction with Kawhai Street, running in a north-westerly direction, to its junction with Vanguard Street, all in the said city; as the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 27648, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

Rotoiti or Hamilton Lake to be a Sanctuary for Imported and Native Game.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be a sanctuary for the purposes of the said Animals Protection Act, and that no imported game or native game shall be taken or killed within the said area.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that section, containing by admeasurement 141 acres, more or less, being the Hamilton Domain, including the Rotoiti or Hamilton Lake, Borough of Hamilton.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirtieth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

And whereas a memorial has been laid before the Governor by the Blenheim Borough Council (hereinafter called “the said Council”), accompanied by a map, setting forth that certain land was taken for the purpose of the improvement of insanitary portions of the Borough of Blenheim:
And whereas portions of the said land as described in the Schedule hereto are not now required by the said Council for the purposes aforesaid, and the said Council desires to sell the same:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers and authority conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved, subject to the condition hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on that part of Sections 701R and 29, Block V, Portobello District, shown hatched green on the plan mentioned in the Schedule hereto, situated on the south-western side of the said road, within a distance of 33 ft. from the centre-line of the said portion of road.

ALL that portion of road in the Otago Land District, Portobello Road District, known as Hooper’s Inlet District Road, commencing at the western boundary of Section 5, Block VI, Portobello Road District, and proceeding thence
