LAKE COLERIDGE RIDING.

All that area in Selwyn County bounded towards the
north and north-east generally by Tawera County, as de-
scribed in the First Schedule to the Tawera County Act,
1909, from the summit of the Southern Alps to the
Wakaepa Branch of the River Selwyn; thence towards the
east generally by the Hororata and Rakaia Ridings here-
inbefore described to the middle of the Rakaia River;
thence towards the south-west and south generally by a
line along the middle of that river to its source near Whit-
combe’s Pass; thence by a line running due west to the
summit of the Southern Alps; and thence towards the
north-west by a line along the summit of the Southern
Alps to the place of commencement.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder,
Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of
New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued
under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the

Number of Councillors to be elected to Spreydon Borough
Council, Arrangements for First Election and Meeting
of that Council.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Municipal Corporations Act,
1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington,
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the Borough of Spreydon, as
constituted by the Selwyn County Subdivision Act, 1910,
shall be a divided borough, and that the number of
councillors to be elected for the said borough shall be
eight, exclusive of the Mayor; also that the said
borough shall be divided into two wards, with the names
and boundaries described in the Schedule hereto, and that
the number of councillors to be elected for each of the
said wards shall be four.

And I do further proclaim and declare that Mark
William Woodfield, of Spreydon, shall be the Returning
Officer to conduct the first election of Mayor and coun-
cillors of the said borough, and also the Town Clerk, and
the person to prepare the district electors roll for the
purposes of the said first election.

And, lastly, I do proclaim and declare that the first
election of Mayor and Councillors of the said borough
shall be held on Thursday, the twentieth day of April,
one thousand nine hundred and eleven; and that the first
meeting of the Council of the said borough shall be held
on Saturday, the twenty-second day of April, one thousand
nine hundred and eleven, at half past seven o’clock in the
afternoon, at the Road Board Office, at Spreydon.


SCHEDULE.

EAST WARD.

ALL that area in the Borough of Spreydon bounded
towards the north and north-east by the City of Christ-
church from the junction of Simeon Street and Jerrold
Street to the Heathcote River; thence to the middle of
that river; thence towards the south-east by a line along
the middle of the said Heathcote River to a point in line
with the middle of Barrington Street; thence towards the
south-east by a line to and along the middle of Barrington
Street to Milton Street; thence towards the north-west
by a line along the middle of Milton Street to Simeon
Street; and thence again towards the south-west and west
by a line along the middle of Simeon Street to its junction
with Jerrold Street, the place of commencement.

WEST WARD.

All that area in the Borough of Spreydon bounded
towards the north-west by Waimairi County from Archer’s
Bridge over the Heathcote River to the City of Christ-
church; thence towards the north-east generally by the
City of Christchurch to the junction of Jerrold Street and
Simeon Street; thence by East Ward hereinbefore de-
scribed to the middle of the Heathcote River; and thence
towards the south-east and south-west by a line along the
middle of the Heathcote River to the place of commence-
ment.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right

Eden.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Municipal Corporations Act,
1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington,
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare the area described in the First
Schedule hereto to be a borough under the said Act on
and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred
and eleven; that the name of such borough shall be the
Borough of Mount Albert; that the said borough shall
be a divided borough; and that the number of councillors
to be elected thereto shall be eight, exclusive of the
Mayor. Also that the said borough shall be divided into
four wards, with the names and boundaries described in
the Second Schedule hereto, and that the number of
councillors to be elected for each of the said wards shall
be two.

And I do further proclaim and declare that Harry
Utting, Clerk of the Mount Albert Road Board, Mount
Albert, Auckland, shall be the Returning Officer to con-
duct the first election of Mayor and councillors of the said
borough; and that the said Harry Utting shall be the
Town Clerk and the person to prepare the district electors
roll for the purposes of the said first election.

And, lastly, I do proclaim and declare that the first
election of Mayor and councillors of the said borough
shall be held on Wednesday, the twenty-sixth day of
April, one thousand nine hundred and eleven; and that
the first meeting of the Council of the said borough shall
be held on Wednesday, the third day of May, one thou-
sand nine hundred and eleven, at half past seven o’clock
in the afternoon, at the Mount Albert Road Board Office,
Morningside.


FIRST SCHEDULE.

BOROUGH OF MOUNT ALBERT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded
towards the north-west generally by Section No. 32,
Parish of Titirangi, from Oakley Creek to the road at the
south-eastern corner of that section; thence across the
said road and by Sections Nos. 35 and 29, Parish of
Titirangi, to Meola Stream; thence by that stream to
the south-eastern boundary of Allotment No. 174 of
Section No. 10, Suburbs of Auckland; thence by that
allotment and Allotments Nos. 175 and 173 of Section
No. 10 aforesaid, and the south-western boundary of the
last-mentioned allotment produced to the middle of the
road forming the south-eastern boundary of that allot-
ment; thence by a line along the middle of that road to
the Western Springs Road; thence by a line along the
middle of the Western Springs Road to a point in line
with the eastern boundary-line of Allotment No. 38 of
Section No. 5, Suburbs of Auckland; thence by a right
line to the southernmost corner of that allotment; thence
by the said Allotment No. 38 and Allotment No. 40 of
