In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Christchurch Fire Board, a body corporate incorporated under the Fire Brigades Act, 1908, proposes to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, all that parcel of land, being Town Sections 957, 958, 959, and 960, in the City of Christchurch, and containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, and situated between Lichfield Street and Tuam Street, as a site for a fire-brigade station.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the lands required to be taken, and the names of the owners and occupiers of such lands so far as they can be ascertained, is deposited at the office of the Board, situate at No. 196 Manchester Street, Christchurch, where the same lies open for public inspection daily without fee during all reasonable hours.

And notice is also given that all persons affected by the execution of the said or by the taking of the said land shall, if they have any well-grounded objection to the taking of such lands, or any of them, or to the execution of such work, set forth in writing such objection, and send such writing, within forty days from the date of the first publication of this notice, being the 21st day of January, 1911, addressed to the Chairman of the Christchurch Fire Board, at the said office of the Board.

In the matter of JEFFRIES (LIMITED).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held at the registered office of the company, High Street, Picton, on the 7th December, 1910, the following special resolution was duly passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the members of the said company also duly convened and held at the same place on the 21st December, 1910, the following resolution was duly confirmed, namely:—
