venient for the efficient working and use of the
said drainage system or incidental thereto :
(b.) The providing of a water supply or service for the
said district, and the laying of mains for the pur-
pose of such supply from the Council’s reservoir
at Westmere to the said district, and of all plant,
appliances, and things necessary or convenient in
connection therewith :
(c.) The reticulating of water throughout the said dis-
trict, including in such system of reticulation the
laying of pipes in the streets and roads of the said
area, and the providing of all appliances, plant,
and things necessary or convenient thereto or for
the efficient working thereof, and the connecting
of such pipes with the mains :
the Wanganui Borough Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of 1s. 7d. in the pound upon the rateable value
of all rateable property within the special rating area in-
cluded in the Borough of Wanganui by the said Order in
Council of the 20th day of June, 1910, and called “Durie-
town,” comprising all that area in the Wellington Land
District bounded by a line commencing on the left bank of
the Wanganui River at the mouth of the Purua Stream ;
thence easterly along the right bank of that stream to the
eastern boundary of Section No. 44, Block V, Ikatar a
Survey District ; thence southerly along the eastern bound-
ary of that section to No. 2 Line of road ; thence across
that road to the western side of a road opposite the south-
eastern corner of the aforesaid Section No. 44 ; thence
along the western and north-western side of that road
to the eastern boundary of Te Iwi Roa Block ; thence
northerly along the eastern boundary of that block to
Section No. 29, Block V aforesaid ; thence westerly
along the southern boundaries of the said Section No. 29
and Manawakowara No. 3 and Kaiate No. 2 Blocks,
and the production of the southern boundary of the
last-mentioned block to the Wanganui River ; and thence
northerly along the left bank of the Wanganui River to the
place of commencement : and that such special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such
loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of May
and the 1st day of November in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being for a period of thirty-six
years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Bur-
gesses of the Borough of Wanganui was hereto affixed to
the above-written resolution by order of the Council this
14th day of February, 1911, by and in the presence of—

WANGANUI BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Notice under Section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.
I HEREBY publicly notify that at the poll taken on the 1st
day of February, 1911, on the proposal of the Wanganui
Borough Council to borrow the sum of £35,000 for the con-
struction of electric tramways in extension of the existing
electric tramway in the Borough of Wanganui along certain
streets in the said borough, and for the construction or
providing of a duplicate line in certain streets of the said
borough, and for the erection and construction of an over-
head bridge over the Government railway-line in Guyton
Street Extension in the said borough, and for the provid-
ing of electric tramcars, trailer-cars, plant for generating
power, buildings, and sheds in connection with such tram-
ways, the following votes were recorded :—

I HEREBY publicly notify that at the poll taken on the 1st
day of February, 1911, on the proposal of the Wanganui
Borough Council to borrow the sum of £11,000 for the
providing of a complete system of drainage for that part
of the district included in the Borough of Wanganui by
Order in Council dated the 20th day of June, 1910, pub-
lished in the New Zealand Gazette No. 62 (1910) at page
1797 (hereinafter called “Durietown”), including in such
system of drainage the laying of drainage-pipes in the
streets and roads of the said area, and the providing of
all appliances, plant, and things necessary or convenient
for the efficient working and use of the said drainage
system or incidental thereto ; and the providing of a water
supply or service for the said district, and the laying of
mains for the purpose of such supply from the Council’s
reservoir at Westmere to the said district, and of all plant,
appliances, and things necessary or convenient in connec-
tion therewith ; and the reticulation of water throughout
the said district, including in such system of reticulation
the laying of pipes in the streets and roads of the said
area, and the providing of all appliances, plant, and things
necessary or convenient thereto or for the efficient working
thereof, and the connecting of such pipes with the mains,
