RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.
Resolutions authorizing Raising of Loan of £1,300 over
Woodleigh Special Rating District, and striking Special
Rate over Woodleigh Special Rating District as Security
for Loan of £1,300.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and
amendments thereto, the Raglan County Council hereby
resolves as follows:—
Resolution No. 1.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by
section 15 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and by
subsection (2) of section 4 of the Local Bodies' Loans
Amendment Act, 1910, and with the consent of the rate-
payers of the Woodleigh Special Rating District, testified
by a petition signed by not less than three-fourths of the
ratepayers in the said special rating district, the capital
values of whose properties as appearing on the valuation
roll of the said district is collectively greater than the
capital values of the properties of the ratepayers who did
not so consent, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves :
That, for the purpose of forming and metalling certain
roads in the said Woodleigh Special Rating District, the
Raglan County Council hereby authorizes the raising of a
loan of £1,300 (of which the sum of £1,000 is to be ex-
pended in forming and metalling the Glen Murray — Both-
well-Woodleigh Main Road, £150 in forming Caughley’s
Road, and the balance of £150 in forming Woodleigh
Road between Caughley’s Junction and Woodleigh), at a
rate of interest (to cover both interest and redemption)
not to exceed £5 per centum per annum, for a period of
thirty-six years and a half, and declares that the cost of
raising the loan and the first year’s interest on the loan
shall be payable out of the moneys so raised.
Resolution No. 2.
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £1,300, authorized to be raised by the
Raglan County Council, under the provisions of the Local
Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and the New Zealand State-
guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, and amendments thereto,
for the purposes of forming and metalling certain roads
in the Woodleigh Special Rating District (£1,000 of this
amount to be expended in forming and metalling the Glen
Murray — Bothwell-Woodleigh Main Road, £150 in forming
Caughley’s Road, and the balance of £150 in forming
Woodleigh Road between Caughley’s Junction and Wood-
leigh), the said Raglan County Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of 1d. in the pound upon the rateable
value of all rateable property of the Woodleigh Special
Rating District. The boundaries of the special rating
district are as follows : Commencing at the north-west
corner of Section 119A ; thence in a south-easterly direc-
tion along the Te Akau Riding boundary to the south-west
corner of Section 10 of Block VI ; thence north-east along
the southern boundary of said section to the north-west
corner of Section N.W. 126 ; thence along the western
boundary of Section N.W. 126 to the south-west corner
of said section ; thence east along the southern boundary
of Section W. 126 to the east corner of said section ; thence
north along the road-line to the north-east corner of said
section ; thence east along the southern boundary of Sec-
tions 19, 18, 17 ; thence north-east along the Naike Stream,
along the southern boundary of Section 31A, and part
Section 27, to the Raglan-Tuakau Main Road (being the
south-east corner of Whithorn’s Section) ; thence north
along the road-line taking in part of Section Part 4 of 27
to the north-east corner of Section 34 ; thence along the
northern boundary of Section 34 to the north-west corner
of same section ; thence along the eastern boundary of
Section N. 33 to the north-east corner of Section S. 33 ;
thence along the north-east boundary of said section to the
road-line ; thence north-east along the road-line to the
south-east corner of Section 120 ; thence along the eastern
boundary of said section to the road-line ; thence follow-
ing the road-line to the north-west corner of the said sec-
tion ; thence south along the western boundary of Sec-
tion 120 to the north-east corner of Section 26 ; thence
along the north boundaries of Sections 26, 25, 36, and 37
to the north-west corner of Section 21 ; thence west along
the block-line on north boundaries of Sections 4, 3, 2, and
1 of Block VII, and Sections 3 and 2 of Block VI, to the
north-west corner of Section 2 ; thence running west along
the north boundary of Section 119 and the eastern and
northern boundaries of Section 119A to the point of com-
mencement : And that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be
payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
thirty-six years and a half ; and the rate of interest to be
paid (to cover both interest and redemption) not to exceed
£5 per centum per annum, or until the loan is fully paid
off ; and it is the intention to pay out of loan cost of
raising same and the first year’s interest.
The above resolutions were duly passed at a meeting of
the Raglan County Council held at Ngaruawahia on the
15th February, 1911.
The common seal of the Raglan County Council has
hereunto been affixed, this 15th day of February, 1911, in

THE following resolutions, made by the Wanganui
Borough Council, are published in accordance with
the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and
its amendments.

WANGANUI BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Resolution making Special Rate.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and the
Local Bodies' Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Wanganui
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows : That, for the
purpose of providing for the repayment of the loan of
£15,000, and the interest thereon, by the periodical pay-
ments as required by the New Zealand State-guaranteed
Advances Act, 1909, and the charges and expenses incident
thereto or connected therewith, which loan was authorized
to be raised by the Wanganui Borough Council under the
Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and the amendments there-
of, for the following purposes :—
(a.) The providing of a complete system of drainage for
that part of the district included in the Borough
of Wanganui by Order in Council dated the 24th
day of March, 1910, published in the New Zealand
Gazette No. 33 (1910) at page 1144 (hereinafter
called “ Aramoho”), including in such system of
drainage the laying of drainage-pipes in the streets
and roads of the said area, and the providing of
all appliances, plant, and things necessary or con-
venient for the efficient working and use of the
said drainage system or incidental thereto :
(b.) The reticulation of water throughout the said dis-
trict, including in such system of reticulation the
laying of pipes in the streets and roads of the said
area, and the providing of all appliances, plant,
and things necessary or convenient thereto or for
the efficient working thereof, and the connecting
of such pipes with the mains :
the Wanganui Borough Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of 1s. 5d. in the pound upon the rateable value
of all rateable property within the special rating area in-
cluded in the Borough of Wanganui by the said Order in
Council dated the 24th day of March, 1910, and called
“ Aramoho,” comprising all that area in the Wellington
Land District bounded towards the north by Sections
Nos. 54, 53, 52, 51, and 50, Block III, Westmere Survey
District, from the easternmost corner of Section No. 248
to the north-western corner of Section No. 31 ; thence to-
wards the east by Section No. 31, Block III aforesaid, and
the production of the western boundary-line of that section
to the Wanganui River ; thence towards the south and
south-east by the Wanganui River to the Borough of
Wanganui ; thence towards the south-west by the Borough
of Wanganui to the north-eastern boundary-line of Original
Section No. 18, Block V, Westmere Survey District ; thence
by that section to its north-eastern corner ; and thence
towards the north-west generally by Sections Nos. 42, 33,
228, 25A, and 248, Block III aforesaid, to the place of com-
mencement : and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be
payable half-yearly on the 1st day of May and the 1st day
of November in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half,
or until the loan be fully paid off.
