Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities in me vested by the Counties Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road and for a paddock for driven cattle, and the said road shall vest in His Majesty the King, and the said paddock for driven cattle shall vest in the Corporation of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Waiapu County; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-second day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Land taken for the Purpose of a Waterwork in Block VIII, Belmont Survey District, Hutt County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for the purpose of a waterwork in Block VIII, Belmont Survey District :
And whereas the Petone Borough Council has laid before the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act :
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the said waterwork, and shall, as from the date hereinafter specified, vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Petone; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect from and after the twenty-second day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, and the Public Works Act, 1908, for the preservation of scenery in Blocks VII and VIII, Alford Survey District :
And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed :
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, and the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the preservation of scenery; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-second day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.
