Defining River and Extended-river Limits for
Preservation Inlet.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
conferred upon me by section 189 of the Shipping
and Seamen Act, 1908, I, John Andrew Millar, Minister
of Marine, do hereby define the Preservation Inlet limits
within which restricted-limits steamships and ships pro-
pelled by gas, oil, fluid, electricity, or any mechanical
power other than steam, and to which restricted-limits
certificates are issued, may ply to be those set forth herein,
and I do divide such limits into river and extended-river
limits.
River Limits : Inside a line drawn from Cavern Head
to the northernmost point of Coal Island produced to the
land on the opposite shore.
Extended-river Limits : Inside a line drawn from
Gulches Head to Puysegur point.
As witness my hand, at Wellington, this 19th day of

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block II, Mangonui
Survey District, for Native School and Road Access
thereto.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute
certain public works, to wit, the construction of a Native
school and road access thereto, in Block II, Mangonui
Survey District, and for the purposes of such public works
the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be
taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan
of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the
post-office at Mangonui, and is there open for inspection ;
and that all persons affected by the execution of the said
public works or by the taking of the said land should, if
they have any well-grounded objections to the execution
of the said public works or to the taking of such land,
set forth the same in writing, and send such writing,
within forty days from the first publication of this notice,
to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.

Declaration for Ad Valorem Goods.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power conferred upon
me by the Customs Law Act, 1908, and of all other
powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I,
Roderick McKenzie, acting in the place of the Minister
of Customs, do hereby revoke and annul Minister’s Order
No. 971, dated the 30th day of September, 1911, and pub-
lished in the New Zealand Gazette dated the 5th day of
October, 1911, and do by this order direct that every entry
for goods chargeable with ad valorem duty, the true and
real value of which is determined in accordance with sec-
tions 61 and 63 of the Customs Law Act, 1908, shall have
indorsed thereon or shall be accompanied by a declaration
in the form prescribed in the Schedule hereto, and that
such declaration shall be signed by the person making the
same in the presence of one of the persons undermentioned
—that is to say, an Officer of Customs, a Postmaster, a
Customhouse Agent, or a Solicitor :
Provided that, notwithstanding anything hereinbefore
contained, the said Minister’s Order No. 971, dated the
30th day of September, 1911, shall be and be deemed to be
in force up to and including the 30th day of June, 1912.
