Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.

Patent Office,
Wellington, 13th December, 1911.

COMPLETE specifications relating to the undermentioned applications for Letters Patent have been accepted, and are open to public inspection at this office. Any person may, at any time within two months from the date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing of opposition to the grant of any such patent. Such notice must set forth the particular grounds of objection, and be in duplicate. A fee of 10s. is payable thereon.

The copies of claims and extracts from the specifications and drawings are merely intended to give some further indication of the invention than is disclosed in the title, and the complete specifications and drawings should be referred to for a description of the invention.

No. 28392.—7th September, 1910.—WILLIAM THOMAS OLIVER, of Christchurch, New Zealand, Foreman of Gas Company. Improvements in or relating to the control valves of gas-burners.*

Claim.—(1.) In gas-burners, a thermostatic strip arranged to be acted on by the heat of the burner-flame, fastened at one end to the burner and left free at the other, and a valve normally wholly closing the gas-passage to the burner adapted to be opened and retained in the open position by the movement of the free end of the strip under the expansive action of the heat, and to be freed to close on the contraction of the strip, substantially as and for the purposes specified.

No. 28769.—23rd November, 1910.—CHARLES TANDY, of Taranaki Street, Wellington, New Zealand, Coachbuilder. Improved apparatus for playing outdoor games in a building or tent.*

Claim.—A revolving stage or platform as shown, with fixed goals, and a race or trough to play the balls in as required.

No. 28815.—1st December, 1910.—ERNEST CHARLES AUSTIN, of Wellington, New Zealand, Foreman of Works. Improvements in or relating to the inflation valves and pumps of pneumatic tires.*

Claim.—(1.) In means for inflating pneumatic tires, an air-pump having an outlet from the cylinder, and a truncated cone-shaped sleeve surrounding such outlet and adapted to pass over the inflation-valve of the tire, substantially as specified.

No. 28852.—18th December, 1909†.—AUGUSTE JEAN LECOUTRE, of No. 46 Lovell Point, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States America, Designer. Corset.

Claim.—A corset having a front adjusting-strap (as 2) in combination with a loop (as 6), of suitable flexible textile material, said loop being permanently secured at one end to the lower edge of said adjusting-strap and at its other end to the lower edge of the corset behind said strap, and a hose-supporter having at its upper end a metal loop or link (as 7), through which said textile loop loosely passes, so that the latter is free to move in the said metal loop or link.

No. 28862.—9th December, 1910.—WALTER WILKINSON, of Chertsey, New Zealand, Farmer. Improvements in axles of vehicles.*

Claim.—A bent tube fitted into a recess in the axle of a vehicle, substantially as described and shown on the drawing.

No. 28973.—10th January, 1911.—ALFRED SEIFERT, of Masterton, New Zealand, Flax-miller. Improved apparatus for gripping and conveying flax for scutching and the like purposes.*
