MINING NOTICES.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL RESOLUTION TO WIND UP.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1903, and the Mining Companies Act, 1904; and in the matter of the Golden Arch Gold-mining Company (Limited).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held at Stevenson’s Hotel, Reefton, on the 22nd September, 1910, at 8 o’clock p.m., the following special resolutions were duly passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held at Stevenson’s Hotel, 7th October, 1910, at 8 o’clock p.m., the following resolutions were duly confirmed, viz. :—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily; it having been proved to the satisfaction of the shareholders that the company, by reason of its liabilities, cannot continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up accordingly.

“That Mr. John Dick be appointed Liquidator, and that his remuneration be £45.”

UNDER THE MINING ACT, 1908.

APPLICATION FOR LICENSE FOR A BRANCH RACE.

To the Warden of the Otago Mining District, at Black’s.

PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1908, the under-signed, John Sharp Booth, of Black’s, Gardener, hereby applies for a license for a branch race as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

Date and number of miner’s right: 16th February, 1910; No. 80452.

Address for service: The office of Charles E. Davey, Solicitor, Naseby.

Dated at Naseby, this 29th day of October, 1910.

Schedule.

Locality of the race and of its starting and terminal points: Commencing at a point in boundary-line of Section 1, Block II, Tiger Hill District, where race held under License 574B intersects the said boundary-line, and running thence through said Section 1 into the property of applicant, and through portion of it. The said race to be used as a branch or extension of race held under License 574B, and being the race till recently used by applicant under agreement dated 26th September, 1907, between Daniel Stafford and applicant. Pegs marked “B,” and trenches cut.

Length and intended course of race: 39 chains; north to south.

Points of intake: One.

Estimated time and cost of construction: Already constructed.

Mean depth and breadth: 1 ft. 3 in. by 3 ft.

Number of heads to be carried: Five heads.
