NOTICE.—HUGH WINFIELD ROLL, Esq., of Eastbourne, England, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Judicature, England, has this day been appointed by His Honour Mr. Justice Williams a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in England under the 47th section of the Judicature Act, 1908, for the purpose of administering and taking all such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section mentioned.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned reserves will be offered for lease by public auction at this office at noon on Wednesday, the 21st December, 1910, under the provisions of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.

Situated in Queen Charlotte Sound, about twenty-one miles from Picton, and known as Motuanauru Island.
For some time this island was used by the Department of Agriculture as a breeding-ground for Angora goats, and substantial improvements have been erected upon it, consisting of yards, fencing, dip and reservoir, cottage and outbuildings, in addition to 65 acres cleared and improved land. The total value of the improvements is £283, which is included in the capital value on which the rental is calculated.

Situated at the head of Torea Moua Bay in Queen Charlotte Sound, about six miles from Picton by boat. Pastoral hillside land rising in altitude to between 300 ft. to 400 ft.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LEASE.
- Possession will be given on 1st of January, 1911.
- The lease shall be for a term of fourteen years from the 1st January, 1911 (subject to termination by twelve months’ notice in the event of the land being required by the Government).
- The rent shall be payable half-yearly in advance, free from all deductions whatsoever.
- The lessee shall not be entitled to any compensation or allowance whatsoever by reason of such resumption, or in respect of any improvements effected by him upon the said lands, but he may, on the expiration or sooner determination of the lease, remove all buildings and fences erected by him, but not otherwise.
- The lessee shall not sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose of his interest in the land comprised in the lease, except with the consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
- The land shall not be cropped or broken up except with the consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
- The lessee shall destroy all rabbits on the land, and he shall prevent their increase or spread to the satisfaction of the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
- The lessee shall prevent the growth and spread of gorse, broom, sweetbriar, or other noxious weeds on the land comprised in the lease, and he shall with all reasonable despatch remove, or cause to be removed, all noxious weeds or plants as may be directed by the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
