DESCRIPTION.
All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 8 acres and 16 perches, more or less, being Section No. 210, Suburbs of Gisborne.

PURPOSE.
A reserve for a sheep and cattle quarantine ground.

All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Lot 2 of Section 210, Suburbs of Gisborne. Bounded towards the north-east by Childer’s Road, 200·7 links; towards the south-east by other part of said Section 210, 498·26 links; towards the south-west by other part of Section 210, 200·7 links; and towards the north-west by Lot 1 of Section 210, 498·26 links: be all the aforesaid linkages, more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan L. 58628/31, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

For an addition to a site for a maternity home and crèche.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this eighth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Trustees for the Tutamoe Public Cemetery appointed.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several persons whose names are specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto to have the control and management of the public cemetery specified in the second column of the said Schedule.

Sam Heath, Stanley Clifford Harling, Robert Johnstone, Griffiths Jones, and George Brock Smith. TUTAMOE. All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres and 6 perches, more or less, being Section No. 26, Block VIII, Waipoua Survey District, Hokianga County. Commencing at the south-west corner of Section No. 24, Block VIII, Waipoua Survey District. Bounded towards the east by a line bearing 30°, 957·1 links; towards the north by a line at right angles to the last-mentioned boundary, 822·7 links; towards the west by a line due south to a public road, 1459·4 links; and towards the south-east by the said road to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1607/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fourth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Opening Lands in Taranaki Land District for Sale or Selection.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Monday, the nineteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and ten; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

Waitomo County.—Aria Survey District.

Weighted with £76 18s., valuation for improvements consisting of 16 acres felled, 26 acres grassed, 44 chains fencing, and whare. Situated on the Kaeaea Road, about six miles and three-quarters from Aria Township. Access is from Te Kuiti, which is about thirty miles distant by dray-road. The section comprises undulating and steep spurs, with ploughable country on the frontage. The soil is of fair to good quality, on clay and papa formation. The forest is light, comprising rata, rimu, tawa, hinau, rewarewa, &c., with a fairly dense undergrowth. The section is well watered. Elevation ranges from about 400 ft. to 700 ft. above sea-level.

Ohura County.—Heao Survey District.

Situated on the Tokirima Road. Access is from Taumarunui, which is about twenty-two miles distant by pack-track, and from Mangaroa, which is about thirteen miles distant by dray-road via Mahorahora, Paorae, and Harvey Roads. A dray-road is open to within half a mile of the junction of Harvey and Tokirima Roads, the remainder being pack-track. The sections comprise easy to undulating country, the greater part of Section 2 being ploughable. The soil is of fair quality, on a papa formation. The forest is light, consisting of fern, manuka, tutu, &c. The sections are well watered.

SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Clifton County.—Upper Waitara Survey District.

Situated on the Tirangi Road. Access is from Purangi Township, which is about eight miles and a quarter distant via Junction and Matau Roads, formed for dray traffic. The section comprises rough hillsides and high ridges. The soil is of fair quality, on a papa and sandstone formation. The forest is heavy, consisting of tawa, rata, rimu, towhai, &c., with a heavy undergrowth. Well watered.

Patea County.—Kapara Survey District.

Situated on the Waitotara Valley and Otaweta Roads. Access is from Waitotara, which is about thirty-five miles and a half distant by formed dray-road past the section. Comprises steep sidlings and ridges with gorgy creeks. The soil is of inferior quality, on a papa formation. The forest is fairly heavy, consisting of tawa, rata, and rimu, with birch on ridges, and a medium undergrowth. Well watered.
