WOODVILLE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and amendments, the Woodville Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £12,500, authorized to be raised by the Woodville Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing surface-water and sewer drainage and treatment-works for that portion of the borough hereinafter described, the said Woodville Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 4⅛d. in the pound upon all the rateable value of all rateable property of the special rating area bounded on the north by Sowry Road, on the east by Pinfold Road, again on the north by Vogel Street, again on the east by Rural Section 70, on the south by the Mangaatua Creek to where it impinges on the southern boundary of Rural Section 75, and thence by Rural Sections 76 and 117, on the west by Rural Section 123, and again on the north by Rural Section 120, and again on the west by Rural Sections 120 and 8; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 31st day of March and the thirtieth day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Passed at a special meeting of the Woodville Borough Council held on the 8th day of September, 1910, and duly confirmed at a subsequent special meeting of the said Woodville Borough Council held on the 7th day of October, 1910.

THE following special order, made by the Masterton County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

MASTERTON COUNTY.
Special Order making a Special Rate.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Masterton County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Masterton County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for constructing head-works and distributing-races in the Fernridge Water-supply District, the said Masterton County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Fernridge Water-supply District, as described in a special order made by the said Council on the 24th day of November, 1909, constituting the said district and defining the boundaries thereof; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Passed at a special meeting of the Council, this 13th day of September, 1910; confirmed, this 11th day of October, 1910.

THAMES BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Thames was taken on the 13th day of October, 1910, on the proposal of the Thames Borough Council to borrow the sum of £8,000 for the purpose of constructing a storage-reservoir, for impounding the statutory supply due from the Thames County Council’s water-race, in order to supplement the borough water-supply.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 61; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 16; informal, nil.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
Notice of Result of Proposal to raise a Loan for Works in Tolaga Riding.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Tolaga Riding of the County of Cook was taken on the 4th day of October, 1910, on the proposal of the Cook County Council to borrow the sum of £25,000 for a series of works in the Tolaga Riding.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 137. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 97. I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.
