Notice to Mariners No. 108 of 1910.
SAND BANK FORMING IN THE SUMNER ESTUARY.

Wellington, N.Z., 10th October, 1910.
THE Lyttelton Harbour Board have notified that a sandbank has formed on the south side of the estuary at Sumner between the Tramway Bridge and Cave Rock. To avoid the bank vessels entering Sumner will, after crossing the bar, pass a black buoy on their port side situated off the above-mentioned position.

Notice fixing Closing-hours of Drapery and Clothing Shops in the Borough of Greymouth under the Shops and Offices Act.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the shops wherein is carried on the trade of a seller of drapery and clothing in the Borough of Greymouth, has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops in the borough shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 6 p.m.; Wednesday at 1 p.m.; Saturday at 9 p.m.: And whereas the Greymouth Borough Council has certified that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the shops wherein is carried on the trade of a seller of drapery and clothing in the Borough of Greymouth:
Now, therefore, I, John Andrew Millar, Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 25 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, do hereby direct that, from and after the 17th day of October, 1910, all such shops in the Borough of Greymouth shall be closed in accordance with such requisition.

Notice of the Taking and Laying-off of Road in Block V, Rotoiti Survey District, Rotorua County.
NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, under the authority of section 93 of the Public Works Act, 1908, that the road described in the Schedule hereto was, on the 24th day of January, 1910, duly taken and laid off through the land specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said Dominion, by Warrant dated the 4th day of December, 1909.

Notice of Intention to take Land in the Town of Silverton for a Post-office.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a post-office at Silverton, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Public Works Office at Dunedin, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Statistics Act, 1908, I, Thomas Mackenzie, Minister of Agriculture, hereby prescribe that the collection of the returns in connection with the account referred to in section 20 of the said Act shall be carried out by post or by Sub-Enumerators, and shall commence on the 20th day of October, and continue from day to day until the 31st day of the same month, unless sooner completed.
